That knife is a Buck and she never touches the guy with it.

From what I could find on the internet, she stabs Richter's aide in the arm with it. Apparently, part of the scene was cut to improve the rating.

Look here.

I also found the IMDB entry on the film, but it doesn't list the full credits.

I'd sure like to see a picture of that knife. Anyone want to do a screen capture?

Sorry Baraqyal and Yeti Bro (and no I cannot post a still at this time):

But based upon a review of a commercial release of the film (on DVD), the knife in the bar fight scene does not appear to be any Buck that I have ever seen and does not appear to be any other knife that I have seen, although I must confess that my exposure has been primarily limited to "working blades" and not too many art or custom type blades. It should be noted that the studios' prop rooms as well as many of the prop companies are known to make up (modify) many of their own weapons from existing models and/or use or ask for existing pieces (as in the Rambo films). This could be the case in this matter as a prop master would be perfectly willing to accept the “gift” of something that appeared futuristic for the ego trip that the giver would get for offering it.

The knife in question does appear to have a shiny polished finish overall, a screw type end cap piece similar to a Randall at the end of the handle, serrations on the back of the blade, a cutout (similar to a cap puller) just in front of the guard and on the edge side of the blade, and fullers on the side of the blade.

It should be noted that the two to three frames (yes two to three frames) of the knife being held by the woman, the shot of the woman running to attack an opponent (wherein the knife is mostly a blur), and the frames of the opponent leaning back with the handle of the knife sticking out of his chest, hardly qualify the knife as being "featured" in the film. Keep in mind that one must actually pause the frames of the scene in order to see ANY detail if the knife. Now I am told by several friends in the industry that the original cut of the film might have had the knife in question more elaborately displayed or that there might have been some very original scenes that used the knife but that were never used. This occurred in the film Broken Arrow wherein a Busse knife was used in a fight scene but was cut from the final release (Now you don't see Jerry and folks continuing to attempt to play that card) and this happens all the time in the film industry.

g.b. says that he will post a pic of some of the knives that he still has so we will see.

BTW is it even possible for a "member" to post pics?

Just an objective view. All the very best,

Stuart

More delusions of grandeur. As if anything you have to offer is worth more than pocket lint. Reality check GB. The onus is on you to prove your products live up to the hype.

If you gave me all the info on all of your products I think I can cash in and buy a pack of gum. On sale.

g.b.:

Does this mean that you are going to reneg on your promise to post a photo/photos of your knife/knives?

Are you seriously alleging that someone would be able to obtain "valuable information" from a simple photograph?

Did you provide any other props for the film, Total Recall or any other productions?

Stuart

Listen, instead of throwing around insults and calling names, couldn't we just have the info regarding the knife from Total Recall posted here?
I did a search on both google.com and yahoo.com for:
"Total Recall" Goncz

Both searches came up with nothing. Couldn't you post a link to the info, that would also be the easiest way to move the discussion beyond namecalling.
If the info is not availabe on the net, please post the pictures + info that you spoke of earlier.

Bre Goncz

Pay you to research your own "product"? Rigghhtt!!

There is nothing to research, I have contacted the magazine you say the knife was in, they have NEVER heard of it, or you.

I have researched the library, patent office and the library of congress for ANYTHING with the name John Goncz. Zip, Nada, Nothing, not so mach as a word that you have done anything you said you have.

I have sent an email to CarolCo , (the company that produced Total Recall) and we will see what they say about your knife. Probably the same thing everyone else has, Goncz who?

So in short John, you have proven NOTHING on any of your claims here on this forum or anywhere else.

So us some proof, or shut up and go away!

Isn't that what this whole thread has been about?

After re-reading a number of pages through this thread, has JG ever given more than a few direct answers to direct questions without threats, insults, obfuscation, or thinking is answers are worth money?

This guy should be in politics. :D

Does anyone know if g.b is allegeing to have provided just one knife, more than one knife, and/or any other weapons for the film Total Recall?

You want someone to pay you $100 to show a picture of your own product? How bout you pay us all $100 to put up with your bullsh*t?

Has it occured to you that maybe people want to see a picture of your knife because they're interested in purchasing one? You advertise that your knife appeared in a movie, and that you will be selling more knives. But when no one can find the knife, you refuse to post a picture?

What kind of "secret" information do you really think we're going to find out from a picture?

I'll bet that this TOP SECRET knife is pointy, between .01" and 60" in length, made out of metal or some other mystery material, has one sharpened portion, and another portion that you can hang on to.

Ooops! I gave away GONCZ secret information! Now the anti-goncz conspiracy can make some of these so called "knives" and ruin poor GONCZ! Holy crap, this "information" could cost you millions! Years of research down the drain!

Post the damn picture or stop claiming to have made the knife.

Has anyone really paid you $200 an hour for consulting? Please forward me a list of their names - I'm looking for parties that would be interested the purchase a famous bridge in San Francisco for pennies on the dollar.

There's something really, really wrong when a whole board full of computer/knife geeks can't find a picture of a knife that supposedly appeared in a famous sci-fi movie.

Damn Goncz, can't you get into any buisiness venture without it going all wacko on ya'?

http://www.securityarms.com/20010315/galleryfiles/1400/1457.htm

Here's a pic of at least a prototype of your pistol, that you managed to sell, as investors I suppose, your gun...

( please read the scroll down text posted by Lajos John Goncz)

You manage to call them F*ckers not once, but twice in this "informative thread" about your own f*cking gun...

(it still looks like a modified TEC-9...)

Yet by the end, you still try and chum for sales of future (prototypes) with your "keep in touch" remark...

Do you really think that will encourage anyone to do buisiness with you? Your other buisiness venture ends up in litigation and name calling, with a good dose of spite.

(edit for non relevant info..)

My new desktop below... Goncz for Precz!!

Blade,

In some point You missinformed, the knife Titanium we are no longer producing it, that was produced more than 15 years ago. The complicated manufacturing cost was prohibitive. The knife blade and the handle is all one piece, and the handle is hollow with a wall thicknees of .90 inches and the blade with blod groowe was .187 thicknees. Some had double edge dagger type blade the others with saw tooth on the back, and others just plain without the tooths. The same shape was produced out of SS-420. The knifes are no longer in production and I do not intend to get into production. Although there is interest in for licensing etc.

The knife we sold at that time for $380.00 and we had different finishes as if you heat titanium with a torch light and at different temperature gives you different color spectrum from blue, gold etc., after 900 Fahrenheit the colors realy comes to life. Try it and you will love...

I said that this coming week we will take some shots and if is ok with Cougar and somebody will explain it how to post it I will do so.
