Good first knife for a girlfriend?

Hey guys I was wondering what would be a good first knife for my girlfriend. She isn't a knife nut, but she's OK with the fact I'm obsessed with them. She's been looking at some of my knives and she likes the Kershaw I have and a SAK Fisherman I have. I've been thinking about getting her a Kershaw or maybe a Byrd Cara Cara 2. She's kinda tough on her tools so I want to get her something she can beat on, that is easy to sharpen. What are your guys thoughts?

If the Delica is too big, maybe check out the Dragonfly or for a keychain ring you could get her a Ladybug in purple.

I'm in agreement with everyone else who suggested a Dragonfly. It wouldn't be super imposing to a non-knife person, yet it's functionality is off the charts. Plus to me a Dragonfly is a whole lot prettier than a SAK, haha.

I gave my old lady a pre '84 Buck 503 and surprisingly she loves it. Good overall size for use and carry. She's a small and slender woman, and it doesn't seem to bother her at all. She also has an SAK classic she keeps either clipped on her keys or in the truck.

My wife really liked my red Gerber LST. At the time, I had trouble finding one for her and ended up with a little red plastic Buck lockback. I think it's a 425. She's carried it, in her purse, every day for 20 years, now. I'll periodically dig it out and touch up the edge for her.

A SAK is always a nice option for somebody who is not a knife nut but can appreciate a nice cutting implement.
A Dragonfly and the Byrd are very nice recommendations, but if you get a Byrd maybe skip the Cara Cara 2 as it might be too big for a first folder, and give a look at some of their smaller offerings (Robin, Raven, etc.). I find them one of the best bang for your buck blades out there and attractive OHO folders for a beginner.
Other options like kershaws and CRKTs can be fun and a nice budget options, maybe if she likes A/O or flippers you can find one of the Kershaw classics (Shallot, Skyline, Oso Sweet, Volt, etc.) in a color she likes, or a RAT I or II which tend to be among the most recommended "first folders" out there, they come in different steels and colors as well

Tell us what you get in the end!

Like others have said, let her pick it out unless you want to surprise her. You said she is tough on tools, and you want to get her something easy to resharpen, my vote goes to the Spyderco Tenacious. Terrific knives at a reasonable price, plus 8cr13mov steel is easy to sharpen.

My tiny wife really liked my Military with natural G10, but I will be getting her a Endura with orange handle since that is her favorite color.

Let her go through what you have and pick one.

I let my wife "borrow"my fully serrated Spyderco Police once. She still hasn't returned it.

Come to think of it,it probably needs a sharpening by now.
