Goodbye, my friend.......

You gave him a good life and at the end he was with you in his home.

Sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry you lost your dog, Joe :( They truely are a man's best friend . . a women's as well.

Aside from the first couple years, sounds like Murf was a lucky dog indeed. While you mourn his loss, I also raise a glass to you for being such a great friend to him, and providing the kind of life he and all dogs deserve.

There is no love like the love that is given to you by your dog. They are a furchild that understands you in ways no human ever could. There is no way for me to comfort you, I understand the pain you are feeling and know that not even time will ever let the hole in your heart left by your Murf close. It can only be repaired when you see your beloved dog again. I am such a coward I get another dog as soon as possible, not to replace my lost child, but to show me the joy that another can bring. It is the worst thing in the world that we have to lose our dogs, the only comfort is that at least they don't have to lose us. When we cross that final bridge the first to greet us will be our four legged family members.

Sorry to hear about this, Joe. It's never easy, but as you said so well, we are saved as much as we save. It's the unconditional love of our best friends that makes the unfortunate disparity in our respective life spans a little more bearable.

I've been doing volunteer rescue work with Dogs for around ten years - its been my experience there is no love like the love of a Dog; and there are no Dogs as loving as rescue Dogs; --

Blessings to Murf and to you Sir

Eric

Sorry for your loss of Murf. At least you can have the comfort that you saved him and gave him a great life for the rest of it. I still miss mine a lot.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I still remember learning my Dalmatian had passed when I was still a grade-schooler... and I still remember the last moments I spent with him before hearing that awful news. I've never had a friend as loyal as he was.

Take care, Murph... and if you see Spot, tell him Jacob loves him still.

Sorry for your loss, as your thoughts go to better days when all he wanted to do was play, know that he is waiting for you to come and throw the ball in a much more fantastic place!
