Now, I'm going to say some things here.......

Communication and civility is key to all transactions.
Despite what happens during the transaction Both parties should remain amicable and non accusatory. Both parties need to keep their fears and minds in check and work with each other to resolve the problem.

IMHO, communication broke down because both parties became combative.

SaviC had up to 45 days to start a dispute under paypals guidelines.
Today is the 37th day of this transaction and IMHO he jumped the gun a tad bit too soon.

Now, is the chance to communicate and resolve the issue. Desite what one feels the others obligations are you both need to work together and find this package however you have to.
 
The custom number can only show gosh has sent something oversea via USPS First Class International.

It will never be able to tell:
1. parcel stolen in the custody of USPS
2. parcel confiscated in Ukraine
3. parcel stolen in the custody of Ukraine USPS (equivalent)
4. parcel stolen from Savic's home
5. parcel received by Savic
6. it can tell what item has been sent by Gosh

It may worth a try to give a call to Ukraine custom using the custom number to find out the status of the parcel. Said is easier than done. Normally custom dept (in general) will not be able to do such tracking too.....or they wont entertain such request.
 
According this customs number, it seems package is still on your local post office and was not dispatched yet

Gosh did you check it if package still is on your post office?
 
Karda - That number is indeed custom number (i.e. CN22 Declaration Form)......it's also the tracking number (if it opts for tracking option).....
 
wow!!!! speechless i just sent a hinderer oversee's hope i don't have these issue's........so what happens if the knife never reaches the buyer is a full refund or is this a split cost? On this subject!!!!!! work it out guy's honesty,integrity,righteousness,is what this place is all about \....we dont screw are fellow knife brothers in this country or any for that matter!!! if you owe than pay!!! I hold no side's to either party just my 2 cents........Merry Christmas all and may peace be found in this thread.............

Yes, you are correct. I'm very tired and wasnt focused. Very busy day in addition to this thread.
 
Laurin, Unfortunately the post office I mailed the knife from is roughly 400 miles away from my current house. I will try and reach them tomorrow.
 
Do it, I'm sure knife is still within US.

Actually since it's been over a month. i'm pretty certain it's not.
As my previous post stated, it will not show an update until it reaches the destination post office and has cleared customs. If it does at all. The only way to know is for both parties to inquire.

You are wrong, knife shipped on 6th of Dec. as I've stated still is not delivered.
Your statement is right but only with tracked type of shipment, like priority box or express mail international.

laurin - I think you must have punched in the wrong number and checking the wrong tracking update.

How could gosh give Savic the custom numer on the 15th Nov if gosh only ship it out on 6th Dec?
 
Gosh's knife was mailed on the 15th of November, 2011 @12:56pm.

How can anyone misread the number, i provided a direct link, all one need to do is go back a page and click on it.

It is from my shipment not from Gosh!!! It was an example that Gosh's shipment was not Dispatched yet, as mine was.

All I wanted to say is, that custom number of Gosh's shipment looks like is still in local post office, because was NOT dispatched but still is just Accepted - still on local post office.

Anyway it is Holiday time and the world's shippers are making many shipping errors. I mailed a knife to Israel on November 2 and on December 10 we wrote it off as lost somewhere in space. Low and behold, a crumbled box looking like it was run over by a plane, thrown overboard from a ship or maybe hit by a train arrived to the address in Israel on December 14th. Inside was the "camping tool" I gifted, still minty fresh!! I know better than to ship during the Holiday season with the expectation that shipping times will be the same as non-holiday times. I bought an Gift from Amazon on December 15 to be shipped from Buffalo NY to Rochester NY. I paid extra with a promised arrival date "no later than" December 21st and o itf course did not arrive. when I enter the UPS tracking number it shows a delivery date of December 27!!!! I call UPS and said call was an act of futility, oh well so much for holiday shipping!!

Having said all that dribble it is my hope the knife will arrive. In the meantime, all the name calling and all the accusations and allegations have been repeated several times and is getting very old? Maybe a Mod should review this in hopes that it will be realized that nothing new has come out of this thread, not even new name calling and close it, for now ( or forever). This thread has provided all the "facts and evidence" most need to take their side or form their opinion and of course, Gosh and Savic will never have a meeting of the mind and will simply continue slinging mud and said mud is quickly drying out!!

You are absolutely right! It's possible only for Priority Or Express. If first class - this number LC288322215US - like without any number. Like nothing!
This reason why I'm usually avoided this type of shipment even if thing in packet would cost $50! Now I have a problem for $1000 :(

You are absolutely right. This thread has been beaten to death. Most people have understood and learned something: Gosh willfully failed to ship the package by Express mail. The package is probably lost, and we have to just accept that it probably is, that's the problem with shipping 1st Class internationally, which is what SaviC was trying to avoid in the first place. Gosh did not hold up his end of the bargain, PayPal ruled in the buyer's favor. He owes the buyer $1,000.

Meanwhile Gosh has started a pretty fancy PSYOPS campaign, trying to draw the focus onto pointless quibbles like whether or not the customs form was filled out incorrectly or whether or not it is legal to own a certain type of knife in the Ukraine or whether or not PayPal returned some of his money, etc. Nevermind that he has ZERO evidence for any of his claims... and besides, who filled out the customs form? Who sold the knife? He's as guilty as anybody when it comes to these ridiculous claims he has made.

Most of us didn't swallow it and saw a spade for a spade. The only people who bought his ridiculous games are you. So don't try to kill the thread with your, "Oh, let's all just agree to disagree. Let these two work it out in a civil manner" and "Oh, I shipped a box to Israel but it was eventually found! See? Same thing."

Are you nuts? Wolfmann, your shipping stories don't have anything to do with this situation. You did not ship something in a way other than that agreed with your buyer. If you did, you'd be as guilty as Gosh. Karda, do you think these two want to work it out civilly? SaviC wants justice and to clear his name, and I think he deserves it. Gosh just wants to keep raking the muck to deflect the attacks off of himself. So with all due respect, keep your platitudes to yourselves. Some of us think that someone (SaviC) has been terribly wronged and deserves to have his name cleared. And his money returned to him.

Yeah this is beyond dumb. Shipper failed to use the proper method -> Knife doesn't arrive = shippers fault. This is why you use insurance and use the correct method for shipping, always. Sorry, gosh, hopefully the knife is returned to you but until then the buyer deserves his money back.

FWIW, this is why I won't ship overseas without the funds prepaid through certified check or wire transfer, and will only use UPS shipping. Costs more to the buyer, but the packages always make it.
