If you have a knife and get stopped by a police officer, congratulations you are an officer safety risk...you will be treated as such.

Rule # 1: Go home at the end of your shift.

US citizens have just as much right to go home alive as police. Also, you should treat every stop as an officer safety risk.

We need to stop tolerating such nonsense, and start pressuring the legislature to change the rules of engagement to start taking power away from the police in certain circumstances, not giving them more.

I suppose if a 3" blade is the max allowed...that he did NOT go by the cutting edge. I hesitate to say that he was a good guy since he only confiscated two of your knives. Apparently, the cutting edge length isn't the key that they go by.
