Got some new blades...

Good eye, HD. Gotta be.

Just held mine up next to the image. If it's not the cobbler's, it's the twin, separated at birth. :)

Maybe THAT'S why Ragnar has them marked "out of stock." Knifemakers saw the value and scarfed 'em all up.

That's almost as pretty as the one you made.

Just thought I'd add AC's pics to this thread:

Apparently, back in stock. (7/26/08)

And, typical Ragnar, LESS per unit than previous listing. :)

#KBH-837; Cobbler's knife blade. , This is a handy blade with a lot of possibilities. The cutting edge is about 3 1/4" long and the overall length is about 8 1/4". The blade is satin polished carbon steel about .064" thick. The tang is about 7/8" wide. Just as it is, it would make a survival kit knife that takes up almost no space. A bit of tape would make the handle more comfortable. You could also add handle slabs for a full tang knife, or simply wrap ithe tang in cord. $7.50.

Quill,

Young Bert, the not-right dog, is fine. YB "abides."

He (and I) are woefully out of shape for pheasant season. We're both old, however, he remains optimistic about the world. :)

I'll tell him you were asking about him.

OK. The first one is done. Two to go. This one is Bocote. Brass pins. I changed the point, and the tang shape.

As I said, two to go. Already profiled.

That sleek little Bocote one looks great! Very elegant. What're you going to use for scales on the other two?

On a general topic, how flexible is the blade? It's thin no doubt, but is it something more useful in the kitchen as opposed to the great outdoors?

And no, I'm not looking to baton with it or chop cinder blocks in twain.

Thanks Andy. These are super fun little projects. Plus, they motovated me to get a solid carbide drill bit. Man. I gotta get more of those...

Thanks HD! I had to take some liberty with the handle...

You know how I roll.
