GRAYMAN SATU Folder!! A BEAST!!!

Since I just ordered a carbon fiber Satu, I think I can send one to Richard J to check out!! Although I might need it to behead my turkeys before they go into the deep fryer?!!

ANOTHER ONE!! They must be bad*ss! Are you getting the beadblast carbon fiber model? Thanks for the heads up on the site change. Have you ever asked anyone if they have a stonewash blade available. It sure looks in pictures like they are and then some pics look blasted. :confused:

I have to get my new ZT 056whatever the black one is and an XM-24, all around Christmas time or at least that's the forecast. I'd sure like to get the bead blast carbon fiber model but I can't commit all that cash to knives around Christmas time - or around the 1st of the new year.

They're not going anywhere though. I hope not up in price anyway! :D
 
Yes beadblast CF! Not sure about the stonewash blade? Shoot them an email, they re very quick to respond! Maybe mention you saw the Satu on here!? Id love to have them comment on here sometime!!

Will do. They're very nice on the phone as you know. Everything I've Googled says beadblast finish. Are your Duas that finish? Any scuffing yet? The finish looks so deep that I doubt that the blasted finish (Graymans) make any difference. I refer to CRK where opening and closing them for a week or so makes them look pretty well used, even when new.

That Beadblast CF model is a real looker! :thumbup:
 
I have one Dua that is beadblast and one DLC coated. Seems to resist scuffing pretty well! No real major scuffs yet! Yeah cant wait to get my CF Satu!! :D
Something makes me want to stab a car door with my Satu?! Was just a random thought that popped into my head!? :eek: Oh then again I dont want to get confused with that Cold steel dude!! LOL!
 
Congrats on the purchase. I am using mine here in Kabul. Been asked a lot of questions as to where to get one, since the only other option here is a POS chinese made knife. I mentioned to my co-workers that Grayman does ship to APO/FPO addresses at no extra cost.

i have always wanted to make a knife just so i can do that and see just how tough the 1075 with my heat treat really is :D. i know they use a 1070 series steel in armor piercing rounds.
 
Gosh, I'd think it would tear it up Richard. Those Cold Steel knives are just VG-1 and Aus-8 and they're not having a problem. I doubt that a good carbon steel would have any problem at all - go for it! :thumbup:
 
Thank you for your service Fedknifelover!! It wud be awesome if you cud give us a little review on how the Satu is out in the field?! What is your view on Graymans edge? Any problems getting her sharp again out in the desert? Another issue that has come up here is if its too BIG to carry? I say no. Like I said awesome if you cud fill in the blanks! If you guys need any knives over there I cud see about sending you some!!
 
Man their knives went fast!! Wud imagine they re busting their butts getting ready for some holiday biz! Anyone own a fixed blade Grayman? Like a Pounder?
 
10 oz....good thing it's so flat to distribute the weight.

that "working edge" looks like it was done on a brick....and why does it look damaged towards the tip?

I think this is a folder an ogre would use lol
 
Their "working edge" has received some criticism here on BF! But you d be surprised at how well it performs! Check out my post on the Duas! I had a fellow BF member Richard J put a new "regular" edge on one of them and did a comparison! Yes their edges might not look all pretty but do they cut? Hells yeah!! You think a guy like Fedknifelover above would take one to a warzone if these werent the real deal?! Their motto is kinda like Striders, if you want a badass hardcore tank of a knife then get one! If you want a perfect, pretty, shiny edge/knife order a Sebbie! Now im not knocking Sebs, own 10 of them! Oh and I am an ogre! Me need BIG knife! lol :D
 
Congrats mang; that looks pretty nice, even though it's a little bit on the small side :D

I do like big folders though... :thumbup:
