Great Eastern Cutlery 2024 lucky pattern 13

I've got a 13 Whip in Cocobolo on the way. Should be arriving this Friday. I'll post pictures once I get it out of the tube.

I wasn't too excited about this run initially, as when I think of a Congress, I usually picture a four-blade configuration - I've heard Bill Howard doesn't like those. I don't say this too often, but on that count, he's just plain wrong. Then again, I'm not the one who has to make them. 🤣

I think GEC missed an opportunity to bolt a lambsfoot blade on there instead of a wharncliffe, and in so doing break the internet - but that's just me. 🤷

Also, I get worried when folks say things like "it just disappears in the pocket!" as I prefer knives that I know are there. That said, the subtly serpentine effect when the blade is open won me over. Hope it doesn't feel too small in hand.

Well I had no idea gec was making a single spring Congress pattern at the moment... But it popped up in the exchange and damn is it a beauty. Perfect action. Gorgeous cocobolo. Awesome size.

This is dangerous. I like the #13. A lot.

I'm gonna have to look around to see if there's a single spring sheepsfoot and pen. Lol!
