Great Eastern Cutlery: #66 - Equal End Serpentine

Not to derail the thread, but what do they have to do to fix weak springs on a knife? I would assume it would require disassembly, which might break the scales, but I could be wrong.

Has anyone dropped the kick down on the sheepsfoot blade with this pattern, or do you really need to do that at all?
On my Case stockman I had to do that so it was more comfortable to hold.

I didn't see a reply to this... I dropped the sheepsfoot on my user. It doesn't require a big adjustment imo (compared to some other stockman), but just a hair to align the spine with the clip blade. Mostly a aesthetic improvement.

As originally inspired by t.sous11 in this thread, I did the same, aligning the sheepsfoot's spine with that of the clip blade. I also echo that it really didn't take much to bring it into line. The sheepsfoot's spring is slightly sunken when closed as a result, but I like the feel of the blades so much better-- in use and in rest-- that it's worth it to me.

First picture, sheepsfoot lowered slightly:

After dropping it juuuuust a little more, to bring it more fully in line:

Fantastic frame, and the #66 Calf Roper/stockman is a treat. I'm so glad GEC is making these again!

Notice that the acrylic tortoiseshell 66 has a centred shield. It's a small detail but it makes a big difference to the overall asthetic of the knife.

Will all of the NF's in this run have polished blades or are they going with satin?
