Sarah, my daughter, and all three (count 'em, THREE) granddaughters have zero interest in knives as we speak.

A puzzler, for sure!

First post, so here goes, missing knife is a single clip blade ebony

Welcome to Bladeforums, and -- bullseye with your first post, in lotsa ways. :)

So this was more true then originally intended

Ill gladly give it back Mr. Charlow if you dont mind the usage marks :) I am sure you will have a duplicate of one I want eventually ;)

... Very well done, Jeff, even if not needed at this time.

Wow.

Great showing folks. Boggs, something about that seldom used corset shield + smooth bone on the 73 speaks to me. I'm itching to find one of those, or a linerlock version in smooth bone or bocote.

Oh Man....someone snuck that one away from me the other day with a billfold of $$$$$'s otherwise it would of been yours for the taking...........

Anyone have a Templar that they want to share?

I know that they weren't the most popular, but I think they are beautiful.

Church glass acrylic in the center and black paper to the right of it. There are a bunch more but these are the only 2 I have. Besides the bolsters, the difference between the Templars and the regular #48s is that the Templars aren't rounded off at the edges of the cover material/bolsters.

Thanks, I love those in black micarta! I really like everything about them, even the marking on the blade, which I normally do not.

Btw, how do they feel in hand compared to the #48s?

To be honest, I prefer the other #48s in look and feel (although the etch on the templars is nice). I like the rounded off feeling on the other #48s a bit more than the flat sides/backs of the templars. I suppose I could round them off myself but I've got enough users already that I don't see the need. Please note that the bolsters aren't like the other #48s... The templars are pretty much shadow patterns with decorative bolsters added. Or at least that's what it looks like to me.

My #62 Easy Pocket Congress came in today. I took some quick comparison shots of a few wharncliffe/sheepsfoot main blade/pen secondary knives. A Case Swayback Jack, #61 Half Congress, Case/Bose Norfolk, and the #62. The swayback jack is the smallest frame with the #62 being the longest. The pull on the #62 was a about a 5-6 with crisp halfstops. One thing to note is that it looks like its all stainless construction, unlike the older #61. I hope GEC continues with this going forward...
