Great Eastern Cutlery ( GEC ) group shots / photo requests

Got a new camera late last week. Still getting used to it and of course the sun hasn't been out since, but I did get a decent photo of my current crop of GEC knives.

3 68 white owl's on the left in buffalo bone, primitive bone and autum bone form top to bottom, an ebony workhorse whittler on top right and a 2012 forum knife below it

you are all enablers! I only have two GEC knives but I'll put up a single-parent family photo when my western outlaw gets here monday.

Jeff,

The White Owl might just look better in your pictures than in mine! I'm really enjoying the juxtapositions with knives other than my own. Thanks!

The comparison with the #66 Jack is especially interesting to me-- similarly rounded ends, but all kinds of style differences between 'em. (I have a #66 Harness Jack, but somehow the yellow bone is helping me to "see" both patterns in a new way.)

Not a chance my friend!

Your welcome Sarah and thank you, its been a real treat to compare it to what I have and I will get a complete group shot when the weather turns again(been nothing but tornado warnings and thunderstorms for days). If you have any particular shot you would like to see with it please let me know :)

They are so alike yet completely different. I could see days that I would like to have either with me.

p.s. you wanted me to send this back to you? :D

Jeff, that is a good demonstration of 3.5 inchers! My ideal pocketable size I think.

Thanks Steve, I also have a 33 whittler I will add in the group shot for size comparison. I also now see what you mean with the spring on the houndstooth, it is very strong from half to open. I love how it feels in hand and you dont feel the lock tab at all. As part of my "give the wharnie a try" campaign, I am going to carry it for a month and see what it can take.

I'd be honored to see it with your Oeser, either just the two of them or in the company of others as mentioned above. Thanks!

On top is a Northfield 23 in Black Plum (with the very necessary long matchstrike pull), then, left to right, in rows;
Tidioute 15 Boy's Knife in Ebony (sweet)
Tidioute 12 Toothpick Jack in Ebony (sturdy)
Norhtfield 53 Yellow Rose Furtaker (Improved?) Muskrat (da bomb)
Tidioute 15 Boy's Knife in Antique Yellow Bone (sharp - in more ways than one)
Northfield 12 Toothpick in Snakewood (elegance)
Northfield 73 Farmer in Hemlock Green Bone (a user)
Northfield 73 Trapper in Autumn Gold Bone (first and most used)

Looking at a 61 or 62 Half Congress and a 55 Wharncliffe Houndstooth. Can't decide.
