Great lakes waterjet is a no pay for my services from back in 2009.

Glad to see that this came to a happy ending for the parties involved! I do want to make a public apology to Dave for saying that crap about him and his business. I think some of us on here perhaps got a little heated when we learned that our buddy RJ was out some money. I do like the looks of Dave's F3. I guess I ll wait and see if he ll play ball with me as well. I also wouldn't mind checking out his BMF. Money sure does bring out the ugly sides of us!! :)

Al, obviously you can read, so thats a good start. Yes, once again, it was a mistake on my book keepers part. Do you know what that is? A person who takes care of my corporate books and pays bills, writes checks and all that stuff. Do you have one of these? Doubt it. You probably don't claim any business monies or even claim to have a business so you don't loose you benefits...right? So unless I owe you something...well you know the rest.

Have to agree with the water jet guy here. Screw ups stink, but they happen. Running a small or smallish businesses is one thing, where you can know the books yourself, but at some point if you keep growing you have to entrust other employees to take care of what they are suppose to. As this thread shows, people can come out swinging when they don't receive funds for their services, and they should because plenty of guys and gals on here depend on their skill at making knives, or sheaths, or whatever else. The company I work for (pretty small) recently came very close to seeking legal action against a very large company because they owed us about $100,000 is unpaid bills. Why? Because some dummies messed up while doing their job.

The best thing to do is try and keep the professional courtesy going, especially if you rely on the other party more frequently than a one time transaction.

Glad to see everything is resolved.

Always a good practice to think before you speak...

i just sent dave an email asking if he had any luck finding the piece of carbide which was a planer blade that had a chunk missing from one end but large enough to get some pieces cut for the use i had in mind. i found out i will have to get a buddy to laser cut it since the waterjet nozzles are made from carbide also.

It just occurred to me that I can't do a better job of trying to explain my sentiment. As such, I will just quietly exit this thread and leave the drama to those who care to stay and engage in it further. See ya' guys!

Cover someones debt, and the person who actually owed the money won't owe any money anymore. If the debts were paid, it's much more likely that the community would forget about it, perhaps even willing to overlook it, than if they weren't. The person who actually owes money should, obviously, be held responsible.
