Great lakes waterjet is a no pay for my services from back in 2009.

And minus the hurling insults, it is this forum and the support of the members that have made this issue pubic and got a better response than when Richard was dealing with it himself. So yes...it is beneficial.

Whether or not he makes it right has virtually nothing to do with what I am saying. I am saying that the people who are doing nothing more than engaging in written vomit should, instead, be willing to help if that's what it takes to turn a negative situation into something which is less-so.

Whether or not he makes it right does not alter the fact that, if we are decent and if we are capable and if someone is in need, we should just man up and help out. I'm not saying he actually is "in need", by the way. I am merely saying that IF he is, a helpful contribution would be a wonderful and incredibly rare gesture.

Please try to understand what I am writing. I am very literal and feel I am writing my thoughts out clearly. It doesn't seem that complicated to me but, based on what I have read in response, I now feel like I've been writing in hieroglyphics.

We under stand what you are writing........BUT!

This area - GOOD _ BAD & UGLY

THIS thread is to WARN other folks - NOT to deal with someone because of the way THEY choose to deal with other people.....

You want to do charity work? - Go do it in some other thread.....;)

How about we not make this about you and your beliefs and feelings....and rhetoric.
As I've previously stated and you've been told several times, Richard is not willing to accept payment except from the person whom owes him the money. As a matter of principal.

Unless you have something pertinent to add to the thread other than baseless commentary about "vomiting" "dog piling" and other trollish euphemisms, then please take your commentary elsewhere.

Read what you just wrote there. Does it actually make sense to you ?

You can live your life bailing people out and playing silly little games to make you feel good all you want. I'll live my life believing people are fully accountable for their own messes and should live up to their responsibilities all by them selves. RichardJ is as sound a guy as you can find here and I would be one of the first to help him if he actually needed it, but he doesn't. You are wanting help and tooting the horn for the guy that has skinned Rich for $230 and that is a very distastefull thing to do. Richard is our friend and we have got his back when ever he needs it.

This is about David "water jet" Curtiss not paying money he owes, take your nonsensical attempt at prevarication else where or just get your mate just to pay Rich his money.

Why should they? Easy question to answer. They should, if it comes down to it, because doing so benefits the person in need whereas doing nothing but complaining benefits no one other than the person who gets off by complaining. If person X is screwed over by person Y, and if person Y does nothing to make up for it, then I ask you which is better...the observers of the situation not actually helping but, instead, hurling insults OR the observers contributing to the person who was f'ed? Why do you think I would offer to chip in MY MONEY to help a complete stranger? I would do it because it is a helpful thing to do. It may not teach person Y a lesson but it will still help person X and that is a very good thing.

I will take a little different approach on this subject and say that 91a2jettavr6 seems to have his heart in the right place of helping others but has let his generosity get the better of him. Put simply, it is about the dishonesty of not being paid and not about the money itself. The thing that confuses me the most when I read about dishonest actions of others on here is why in the world do they tarnish or completely ruin their reputations for a few measly dollars.

Have any of you ever heard of a "mistake"? I was told that we had paid the bill in full by my accountant. So with that, when someone keeps asking for money and threatens my business, I get a little ill about it. Hence the issues with Richard. I have found that it was a mistake on my book keepers end and I am fixing the problem. When I get back in, I will post a pic of the payment I am sending Richard so all of you can see. Until then, chill out a little. This is not a nuclear threat or terrorist act. Geeeees. Richard will be compensated for his time and troubles. Once again, Richard, I apologize.

Richard has requested that you paypal me what is owed. morrowj_98@yahoo dot com
I'll forward the money on to him after the funds are received.

This is good to hear. I know that Richard will call when the payment gets to him. That will be a good phone call.

Note to David. As a businessman it would sure make you look a lot better if you take the responsibility yourself. Regardless of who made the mistake, the buck should stop with you.

Richard, I will do a money order just like last time and mail it to your same street address unless it has changed.

i would rather have the money sent to morrow. you can send him the money order. this way it keeps everybody honest.

Thats fine. I don't want to do a paypal because of your "reasons" if you know what I mean...remember? I will need an address.

So first you say you did pay him??
And cuss Richard up and down about that you did?

And now after checking with "your" book keeper? That he was not paid?

So now your fixing "that" problem?

What a crock of BS!

I think you are the "mistake" if someone does business with you......;)

(If I had a book keeper that made a mistake like this a ruined my name? I would fire the person!)

And one more thing? The text high lighted - You're saying that you are going to pay him extra of what you owe him for his time and trouble????????????:confused:

Al, obviously you can read, so thats a good start. Yes, once again, it was a mistake on my book keepers part. Do you know what that is? A person who takes care of my corporate books and pays bills, writes checks and all that stuff. Do you have one of these? Doubt it. You probably don't claim any business monies or even claim to have a business so you don't loose you benefits...right? So unless I owe you something...well you know the rest.

Here is what happened once again so everybody is clear. Richard was sent a $100 money order dated 6-19-2009 for sharpening services. I didn't know that was the amount sent until now. I thought he was paid in full. My mistake for not double checking, but I was going by what I was told. At the same time Richard was paid, we probably sent out around 40 to 50 more payments as a business does. Since the mistake has been found, I am correcting it myself right now. I am putting a money order in the mail to Jason Morrow, as requested by Richard, for $500 to take care of what I owe him and his time and troubles. Do we understand now or do I need to copy and paste this for the next few hours? Richard, I hope the extra money is enough to help you and get you back on your feet. I'm sorry this happened. I do respect you and even after all of this, will consider you a friend. The ball is in your court. I hope you want to play.

the $100. was all you sent but $47 (?) or so of that was for what i had to pay to ship your knives back to you since you did not send any money for return shipping.

the extra you are sending will come in handy. i have breathing problems and the medicine inhaler is over $250. and i have been doing without it.

do you still have that tungston carbide planer blade that i wanted cut into strips? i would like to have that back if you still have it.

Got ya. I hope the extra money helps. When I get back to the shop, I will look for the carbide piece.
