I think they are black...the boxes are way in the back of the of the cabinet so I didn't check. You'll know shortly.

The elk horn 112's are back up,I just bought one.I was wondering if anyone had recieved theirs yet,does it have brass or silver bolsters

I ordered one of each this go around but I have both from when they came out and the bolsters on both are brass on those two. I'm assuming these are from the same run. The descriptions on the web specials have had a few errors.

Thats o.k, thanks for lookin. I'm guessing you have a perrty good stack of boxes by now :D

I'm going to be kinda disappointed if they are brass. Both descriptions listed NS before they pulled them and relisted...

Oh well, just have to wait and see, should still look good with the brass too.

Just the opposite for me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they are NS, but probably not. I haven't received either one of my 112's so I'll just have to wait and see.
 
I just like the way the brass ages after you carry it a while, it looks antique.I never polish the bolsters after I start carrying a knife.Maybe we will both luck out and get what we want,if not I would trade even to help out.the bolsters really aren't a big deal to me.just though I would offer.

I am with you on this matter. I am hoping they are NS, as that is one of the main reasons I ordered two. I guess I will have to wait and see. My order is due 6-02-09 via UPS.

I just went and checked my account and mine says its still in processing.
How long did it take for yours to ship and be updated ?
I guess I should have called Buck to verify that they were NS before ordering them, but I figured that being a special run the description would be correct... There I go figurin again

I got a shipped notification from Buck the day after I think.
Mine are all supposed to get here 6/2.
 
i ordered the buff 500 from them like..last week. thursday or friday. still havent gotten a shipped notification? taking this long for anyone else?

Yep, I also ordered the Elk 112 on Thursday and did get a confirmation, but no shipping notice yet. I checked with Liz last Tuesday and she said that they were behind because of the long weekend. Some were off Friday and they only were open until noon Friday.
 
ya i actually just called them up and thats exactly what they said. said mine should get here on 6/2. cool.
 
I ordered my Mammoth Tooth 301 on the 20th, got confirmation almost immediately, and, it's in hand as I write this. I got it last night, UPS, and I have #115/200. Any one know what these sold for originally? Just curious.

The knife came out in the 2008 mid-year catalog, but I can't find a price list for the series on the BCCI website.:confused: I have the 532 like it and it's just way cool.

I was able to see your pictures. Wow they look great. Both sides look great. I went ahead and saved the pictures of your knife and put them on my Photobucket account.

Hey, Thanks. I think I finally got one to show up, but PhotoBucket has always had it in for me. But, it is a nice knife and if you can get the pix up, that'd be great. I gotta go mow the lawn before I have to look for new home. lol
