I keep thinking a huge surge of 4.7's has to be right around the corner. Hopefully everything was running smoothly in the shop last week :thumbup:
 
Went camping with my 5.1 this weekend. Such a great tool but I am still longing for my 4.7 that I ordered 13 months ago. ;)

Ha! Today would be just fine as far as a day to get a shipping notice. With that said I like the term cautiously optimistic, so I don't have an expectation of seeing it this month.

There's a guy on Facebook and instagram with a 4.7 and a woman on instagram who has a youtube channel who has one, but that's it as far as I've seen. Someday soon we'll all be blowing up this or another thread with reports of shipping notices and boxes at our doors!

I think that you and I definitely misunderstood one other! LOL!

So you were referring to a rush of prior order fulfillment and I was referring to more factory seconds of the 4.7s being on the offering block this PM (4/25 @ 4 PM PDT)

I'd like to think that those who ordered a 4.7 a year ago would be first to receive one, but I trust the S! team will do what's best knowing all the factors that I don't.
 
6 minutes. Maximum. That the 3V was available. My computer had a burp as I was trying to check out with one in my cart. Thanks to my computer, I lost it. ARRRRRRGHHHHH!!!! I HATE PC Laptops!!!

And when I went back and checked for 20CV, that was gone too!

What did they have?! Like 2 of each blade? This is as bad as a Gaaanza!
 
I'm not sure I like seeing seconds hit before pre-orders are filled. I'm surprised and somewhat disappointed.

I mentioned something similar in another post. I'd like to think that if we invested in the company a year ago that we'd be first in line, BUT I thought Ellie said somewhere that the very few that were sold today were found to be factory seconds AFTER they were sharpened.

See my above post. Even if they do I think the trade off is that preorderers got a factory first at a discount to our exact specs with no frantic refreshing today.

The benefit of the doubt is in order, certainly. I wholeheartedly agree that second-buyers should be second in line. If I preordered a car, and then found out the same model I ordered was totaled due to an accident at the factory, but that the company issued a salvaged title and sold the car anyway, I would expect to receive mine first. Maybe the example is extreme, but the principle holds true.

And, maybe the seconds won't ship first. Then we'll be listening to guys griping they didn't receive their shipping notice, yet.

LOL, all in stride, I suppose. You can make some of the people happy some of the time, and all of the people happy... Never.
