Some pile side love!
Thanks Harvey, what you do with your photography is nothing short of spectacular. Love the 'crazyone'Dennis, my friend, you came across as informative without any insinuation. I only wanted to convey my shortcomings as a person, thinking only inward, and not more empathically about what others go through. Nothing to do with your comment. Thank you for the nice words on my Senator. Your Lambfoot is exquisite.
@herder Nice image, Neal.
@StoneBeard Beautiful Stag. Lovely porch view.
@scrteened porch Great desktop view of your Lambsfoot. Have a nice nap.
pjsjr Fine portrait of your Lambsfoot.
JohnDF Excellent use of shadow and light in your Lambsfoot. Beautiful.
@Fodderwing Swirly water with your Dami Stag perched seemingly precariously on the twig makes for wonderful photo, Dwight.
donn Nice looking sandwich to go with your nice Lambsfoot.
@dc50 Wonderful Image, Dave, the colors of the Ironwood blend perfectly with the painting.
@Ramrodmb Mark, that’s an elegant closeup portrait of your Lambsfoot.
Pt-Luso José, your Père David is piercingly Nice.
@tmd_87 Taylor, I have to hand it to you. That Dami Snakewood Lambsfoot is beyond exquisite.
Good Morning Guardians. Of course I fine tune my images in post processing, but I try to keep it as real as I can, using the tools to enhance, only. But sometimes I like to play with crazy filters, just to see.
Here’s the normal post processed result.

Thanks Jack, what a wonderful day you've had. Thanks for the great pics and the tour. So nice to have history like that so close and accessible.![]()
That's about all a fellow can do, just keep at it.Thank you so much for your kindness fellas! I'm about 50 pages behind and trying to catch up!I'm reminded of the old adage: "How do you eat a whale?" One bite at a time.
Just a wonderful photo!
Great post and photos as usual, Chin. Nice flock of Lambs, the one in the fore-ground is unusual, especially that swage and bulbous end. Thanks mate, it’s good to hear the Frostfoot’s coming in handy.
I did use and carry the Lambshank for a few months after it was made, but I haven’t used it that much lately - partly because I still need to get a custom pocket sheath made up for it.
You did prompt me to use it to put a rustic whittled pattern on some makeshift European Ash walking sticks, which I’d previously been using my ol’ ebony user Lambsfoot on.

This one’s some sort of eucalypt though:

I had an enjoyable May Day, a quiet one though - I hope you all had a good one.
Yeah, I’ve been using my 2019 Ironwood a fair bit. It gets almost as much use as my plain ol’ ebony user.
Thanks for showing that ‘800AD Lambsfoot’ again. And here I was, thinking the pattern started around the 1890s! What was the story behind that one again, Jack?
LOL definitely!
Thank you Preston. I’ve been interested to hear about your dog training regime. I haven’t been wingshooting for a few seasons now, but I recall fondly what a pleasure it is, to see a well trained dog working in unison with the hunter.
Well said OG!
I’m constantly amazed at the high quality of photos here - all of them full of the character of the photographer.
There seems to have been a particularly great run of Lambsfoot knives and pics lately, but I’m always thinking that!
This one in particular is amazing, Dwight, with that water like inky obsidian:
@StoneBeard: good to see you here, outstanding images as always, my friend.
Harvey, I dig the Lambsfoot Infernus!
Here’s my current flock o’ Lambs:

Ahh, the Yorkshire Rose, just an ecThanks Dave, most folks kind of take it for granted hereThat is amazing scenery
Nowhere near as impressive, but these are Alport Castles in the English Peak District (I've filched the pic though)

Thanks Harvey, I'm glad you found that interesting Harvey, British history is littered with momentous events, which most people here are ignorant of
Glad you made it Kevin, you have been working real hard lately mate, nice pic
Thank you Mark, Wakefield itself is a bit of a dump, but fortunately, it's surrounded by some very attractive countrysideI did, thanks my friend

Scrumptious Dave!![]()
Good to see you here Michael, and thanks for the kind wordsI thought my back troubles would be gone by now, but I'm still getting a fair bit of pain and stiffness
Dragging on a bit, but I hope it'll be gone soon
Thanks a lot Dwight
Spectacular pic Taylor![]()
Great to see that pic again, well done Harvey
That looks very tasty Taylor![]()
Good to see you here mateSometimes, it can be harder to get a good sheath made than a knife! That's certainly the case in Sheffield
Those walking sticks look nice and straight, good job, nice pics too
I had a good May Day thanks, though pretty quiet too. That's great your 2019 has been getting so much use. Fantastic collection there my friend, hope you've had a great weekend
Morning Guardians, taking me a while to get started here today! Hope everyone is having a great weekend, we have Monday off here tooHoping to do the giveaway draw done sometime today, so good luck everyone
I'll draw one name out first, and let them take their pick of the knives before drawing a second. Be a few hours yet anyway, as I've plenty to do. Have a great Sunday folks, I'm carrying the Yorkshire Rose

Mighty impressive, thanks for showing these. Here's a pic of most of my Lambsfoot knives folks, I reckon I have around 15 more, including some duplicate Guardians knives, which are in my safe. I'll keep looking (I have more than a thousand knives), and if I turn up anymore, I'll edit the pic

Gary, I love that American Graffiti LP. Great photo of Black Jack!! Did you just luck out with that fly landing when it did or did you bait and wait? Thanks for the friendly greetings, Vince & Jack, even when I'm often AWOL.
Good answer, Rachel; first thing I thought of when I saw Jack's question was the Sierra Madre clip you posted!I enjoyed seeing your GAW LamFam pic, as well as those of all the other entrants!
BIG CONGRATS toPt-Luso @JTB_5 and @tmd_87 for the elegant ebony, the breathtaking Big Horn, and the ravishing rosewood lambsfoot knives that each of you won, respectively, in Jack's generous and celebratory 10^3 pages GAW!!
Good advice and matching pic!Aging seems to require more and more time and effort to maintain fewer and fewer of our former abilities.
Good plan, Dave!I enjoy walking, but outdoor winter walking can be quite treacherous.
John & Dennis & Preston & Jack, thanks for the complimentary remarks about the little company of lambsfoots under my guardianship.
Thanks for "granting my wish", Ron.What an impressive, fantastic flock!
Harvey & John & Jack, I appreciate your appreciation of Black Jack, my only ebony-handled knife IIRC.I've always thought that ebony was a very distinguished, yet durable, cover material, and my ebony lambsfoot gives me no reason to change my opinion.
Thanks for the kind words, Preston. This thread used to be like a stroll up Lambsfoot Alley, but now it's more like roaring down the fast lane of the Lambsfoot Superhighway!
Glad you mentioned that oldie. When I first started seeing the Damascus Lambsfoot models show up here, I thought of that same title, changed to Dam-a Lamb-a Ding Dong!
Last day with Black Jack as my Lambsfoot of the Week:

Also, thank you for the package of goodies. I will show them later this week. They will also be in my permanent prop collection. I was like a little kid, as I showed each item to my wife. One object was cooler then the next. Big thank you Jack. Very much appreciated.
