NICCEEEEE

Thanks Dave, it's not so bad anymore, I used to suffer with it all the time. Need to start using my CPAP machine too, but that thing will GIVE you insomnia! Really Dave, how much, I've known a couple of guys who had narcolepsy, hope it's not that bad my friend?
Sorry to hear that Vince, hope you get sunshine tomorrow :)
Thanks Harvey, the annoying thing is that with our Bank Holiday, and having to wait in today, I haven't been able to go back to the store. I only have a few more days before I'm sealed into a 2 year contract  Thank you my friend, that horn was pretty spectacular. It's very interesting Harvey, even more so, I'd have thought for anyone familiar with New York
That's the one!
I scraped up what I could find Harvey ;) I'm glad the Henderson's made it intact (it's not actually spicy). What do you think to the little pocket slip? I was showing the cloth to an old Tackler I know who worked in the mills (in his 80's and still riding a Velocette), and it amazing how much he could tell me about it just by looking at the weave, incredible :) The bottle shop is just up the road from me, it's what they call a Beer-off in Sheffield, and what the rest of the country calls an Off-license :D
Cool pic Harvey :)
You were a Real Wild Child Dave! :D
Spot on Dave
Nice Lambsfoot pic too

That's a great recollection OG, you guys tell some great tales  Great to see Fenrir :)

Me too Dwight :) Lovely pic my friend :)

I waited in for some furniture being delivered, having spent most of the morning moving stuff around to make room for it. Then the delivery guys turned up and told me that the large bookcase I'd paid for had been "damaged beyond repair" (which I don't entirely believe as it was a real solid thing). I wish I'd told them what they could do with the other items too (a very large chest of drawers and a set of shelves), as the lack of the large bookcase completely messed up my plans, and caused me a lot of extra work. I also noticed they scratched the chest of drawers in several places. Something else I've got to sort out  I think I'm going to go and take a hot bath, and hope, against the odds, that my my back is OK tomorrow  At least I have beer in the fridge! :D ;)
Well, that is just plain messed up. Hope it's not sitting in someones parlor  Sorry to hear your back is still giving you fits  With everything that's going on, it's no wonder your're having trouble sleeping. I remember once I was told to cheer up, that things could get worse so I did and sure enough, they got worse o_O (sorry).
Maybe one of these days, I'll tell you my recollection of The Wave of '62...maybe ;)

I’m not as familiar with California now, but the California I remember, was as close to Nirvana as one can get. Half the reason I like films like this is because California is a Co-Star. I would imagine it was a fun day for you, anyway.

Nicely said :)

I wouldn't be at all surprised OG, it wasn't the sort of piece that would be easily damaged o_O I think it was partly my back that kept me awake last night, but at the moment it's my middle back (rather than my lower back) that's causing me pain. It never gets anywhere near as bad there as my lower back, so if it's just like this again tomorrow, I won't mind too much. Worrying has kept me awake in the past, and just plain thinking a lot of times, but last night was just one of those nights, maybe I had too much coffee or something (though I never have more than a couple of cups) :) Hey, I'll look forward to hearing about The Wave :)

That's why Linda married me, she was attracted to the bad boy persona :p

Obviously! :D :)

I've opened a can instead ;) :D

Hope your evening goes better, Jack and the beer soothes your aches!
An easy day today for me, compared to working.;)

Thanks Mark :) Well done my friend :)

Jack Black Jack Black The Slip is beautiful and soft. My image, including the very cool bottle opener, does not do it justice. I will make an image closeup to show its’ soft beauty. Sorry for your sore back and the Oafish treatment of your furniture. Spot on comment as to the Cpap causing insomnia. I hated it. Couldn’t sustain its’ use.

tmd_87 tmd_87 Thank you Taylor.

I had two pieces of cloth, one brown, one charcoal, and I was hoping I could keep one of them for a waistcoat, but there wouldn't have been enough pocket-slips otherwise  ;) Thanks buddy :) It took me 6 months to just about get used to the Cpap, and in the end I slept a lot better, but I couldn't use it with my cough. Now, I need to try and get used to it again, but I think it's going to be even harder, they're not easy to sleep in are they? o_O

Having to use my phone to edit this double-tap as my 'high speed' internet connection has died on me again

Uh oh... There's no turning back now. Patina City. I guess I did find something to cut after all. :D

Oh wow! I thought you were saving it for Sunday best . Were proud of you lad :D:thumbsup:

Sorry you are being vexed by slow connection. Beautiful covers on your Lambsfoot. Looks like a book I have to read.

Ok not strictly a car chase but I always liked the chase through New York in the 'French Connection' were Gene Hackman is chasing the 'L' Train through New York.

Don't forget John Wayne, Humphrey Bogart, and Jimmy Cagney! ;)

Don't forget Randolph Scott. I always liked James Stewart and Alan Ladd to

Your posh Jack. Round our way it's just 'the offy'...:D

Sorry to hear about your furniture woes Jack, it's really annoying when people don't give a :poop: about the stuff you've spent your hard-earned on:rolleyes:. Unfortunately it appears to just be modern Britain. My ex has a saying "incompetence is everywhere..." except of course it seems to be creeping into places you really really don't want incompetence to creep into. Like operating theatres. And air traffic control....:eek:

Oh man - great reading and great viewing. I enjoyed watching Steve take that 68 Mustang through its paces.
I used to own a 67 notch back - then owned a real nice 65 GT Fast back, 289 4 speed. My best car I ever owned- used to drive it like that too - had a limited slip diff - with that and a four speed - Used to have that girl sideways round corners - that 289 singing its heart out- music to my ears! aaaah those were the days !

Jack get better with your back - I know that discomfort very well. Stretches my friend- Stretches! :)

Plenty of incompetence over here too. It's an epidemic!

David, the movie, the chase, and Gene Hackman, was also brilliant. I’d like to say nice Lambsfoot(I just did:)), but oh my goodness, what a beautiful tankard!

okay so I had been lambsfootless for awhile now, but yesterday I got lucky and ran into to this one at a show. I think it was made in the 60's or 70's or so I was told by the dealer.

My Goodness, that's an unusual model, @flylock, with a long pull, no pins, and no bolster. I like it!! :):cool:

That knife is so sweet, it's attracting flies.
:D:thumbsup: Thanks, John.

Fantastic pic, Jack! :cool::cool::thumbsup:
I totally agree with Mark's reaction in the next quote.:thumbsup:;)

Good morning all! That's some lovely stag, Jack and striking photo with the blue background.

Thanks for the fantastic GAW and congrats to Jose, Joshua, Taylor and David. Three cheers for Jack!

Distiguished duo, Mark!! :cool::thumbsup::cool:

Good Morning Guardians
Great shot of Sköll chasing Sol, John!:cool::thumbsup:

Good morning, Guardians!

Fancy ferrum lignum, Vince! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Good morning, Guardians! RALF and me enjoying some silver needle white tea.

Always a treat to see you and RALF having tea for two, Jeff!:cool::thumbsup:

That AC is an Awesome Classic, Ron!:thumbsup::cool:

...
Gary, I love that American Graffiti LP. Great photo of Black Jack!! Did you just luck out with that fly landing when it did or did you bait and wait?
...
Thanks, Preston. :) The fly in the pic was mostly luck, although I had seen it buzzing around and tried several times to get a shot of fly on Black Jack. @r8shell & @Gevonovich have posted numerous photos of knives with little critters; they're my inspiration! :D:thumbsup:

Sunny and superb shots of your ironwood lambsfoots, Preston and José!!:cool::cool:

Nice flock shot, David!:thumbsup::cool: The belt from long ago and the buckle you subsequently posted are both interesting.

...
It will be all steel construction Jose, vintage Sambar covers like this, but with a proper (longer) Barlow bolster with the A.Wright 'candelabra' stamp

...
W:eek:W, Jack, you're dreaming big!:cool::thumbsup: That stamp is monumental!

My lambsfoot this week is Cracker Jack, my AC stag lambsfoot:
