Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Received this morning, my Stag Hartshead Barlow. Thanks Jack :D

Thank you my friend :) I really like the stag on this one, reminds me of Charlie @waynorth 's soup-bone :) Great pic

Thanks, Jack! unfortunately, the video won't play in my country. o_O

I get that sometimes with video links posted here Dave, I think it's a copyright/licensing issue. Maybe this live version will play

Jack I got the idea to carry that old opener because of the ones you post!

Thanks Taylor, I'm flattered :)

Grats! Looks like it was well worth the wait. Very nice pic!

Good Morning Guardians
Yesterday was a long and hot day at the DCI event. My son't corps won the Open Class again, and their World Class corps took second. Their World Class corps has won 18 World titles. If you have never seen a DCI event, it's amazing and loud... It's marching band on steroids!!!

I'll post my usual Lambsfoot picture and I will also add a (rough) clip of the Blue Devils A Corps in case you want to check it out. :)

Blue Devils A Corps...
And just for fun, my son's B Corps performance...
Very nice pic of your Hartshead  Mega grats to your son! Well done
Aren't the Blue Devils based in Concord? Must be a heck of a drive to get him to practice

I'd have to say nope. o_O Gorgeous AC OG.

@Ironwood Chris - That is a fantastic stag, very soup bone - ish!

Good day, folks! Had to get myself caught up here (no small task).

I had a rather busy weekend. I went and saw Uriah Heep and Judas Priest in concert on Saturday. Yes, I am a bit of a metal head, but to put it in perspective, both bands have members that are in their 60s and 70s and have been making music for many decades. Uriah Heep can still rock hard and of course Rob Halford from Priest can really belt it out still.

Yesterday, I began work on building a pergola. We've been wanting a nice outdoor sitting area with a fire pit and I broke ground on it yesterday. My brother and I are manhandling the augur. I am the big guy on the left and with all of this talk of barber shops and haircuts, I think I have enough hair for the lot of you combined... :D

My garden is really taking off and soon I should have zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and other things.

That's a great pic Dylan, and I love the stag on your AC :)

Good lookin' AC, fine pic

Thank you, fellas!

I am eagerly anticipating some worthy additions to this burgeoning family (I think I need to update the pic, it is missing some).

More work for the Hartshead. First, it helped prepare my breakfast:

Full disclosure: I try to avoid having to use my pocket knife for cutting on plates, so the Hartshead Barlow helped slice the sausage and kale during prep time and then posed with the finished dish before being tucked away in my pocket while a standard table setting knife took over.

Afterwards, it was time to work on my favorite kind of lambsfoot math:

fYxafWzh.jpg

It's presented as an addition problem above, but I tend to think of it more as a fraction reduction problem: as in "let's reduce this pile of cardboard to a faction of its size so that it fits in the recycling bin." :D

The nice thing about having a shaving sharp blade is that it makes quick work of those plastic pillows they use for padding. I put my foot on one end of the strip, hold the other end up high in my left hand, then make a clean slice through the set from low to high, releasing the air in each as I go. It's super quick, but maybe not as fun as popping them. ;)

Great Rosewood shot :thumbsup::thumbsup:

LOL! :D When I was a kid, the only hair-cut style pics I remember seeing were 'Crew-cut' and 'Tony Curtis'! :D I'm not sure who had the 'Tony Curtis' (other than Tony Curtis obviously). Most fellers had 'short back and sides', while us young kids would go and ask for 'just a trim', and come out having to wear a hat for a week! Me and my best pal used to alternate haircuts, just so we could laugh at each other, and make 'Kojak' and 'Yul Bryner' jokes! :D

Great pics Greg :) Yeah, I know what you mean about cutting on plates, not good for the plate or your knife edge, I avoid it when I can

LOL! Very clever :D  I have to tell you though, that very few bits of packaging doesn't get recycled round at Grumble Towers, most of it goes back across the pond! :D The amount of packaging I've got through recently is frightening! I am finally starting to see my kitchen table again though :)

Cheers ;)

Yes, they are in Concord.
We drive him down there on Tuesday mornings and pick him up on Sunday nights.
The rest of the week he stays with host families. They practice from 7:00am to 9:30pm.

This thread is too much. So many beautiful, BEAUTIFUL knives!.

I've held off as long as I possibly could, but the wait for the Waynorth Lamb's Foot has been unbearable so a couple weeks ago I put in an order for an A Wright and Son Lamb's Foot with a nice sway back in rosewood (I also just got the PayPal invoice for my Waynorth Lamb's Foot). I can't wait!

Very cool pic Dylan and yeah I'd say you and your brother both have more hair than i've ever had. :D Great start on your pergola! Love that creek running so close to your deck. Beautiful place.
