Congratulations, Barry. Your two Barlow’s are Primo examples.

Apparently shipping from the U.K. is a bit faster than I expected. I just checked the mail and had a nice little surprise waiting for me. The A Wright and Son sway back ("shaped") Lamb's Foot came in!

I find the covers/scales to be very attractive (so rich!) and the fit & finish is great. This DOES NOT look or feel like a $35 knife. I'm a little taken aback to be honest. I was expecting something with similar build quality as an Opinel at this price point, but this seems much closer in quality to Case and Buck's offerings. Phenomenal value.

Thank you to everyone who has posted in this thread, it's really opened my eyes! I'm an absolute fanatic for sway backs, wharncliffes, and carbon steel, so I feel like this should have clicked with me much sooner, lol. I also just received an email that my Waynorth Lamb's Foot shipped today! It's been a good day. :)

Welcome to the Guardians. Now you understand what it's all about.
I have fancier and more expensive models, but the Cornerstone Rosewood is still my favorite.

Great to see you here Preston, lovely pic. I hope that you and Dutch are having a fantastic weekend :)
Thanks Jack, I'll be checking in when I can
It's a cool looking plant though, and of course the Lamb is beautiful.
Thanks John!
I'm liking all these barber stories. My involvement ended when I was 23 with my first unavoidable 0 cut.
have the same haircut. :D
I with you guys...but not going to post a picture:rolleyes:
I seemed to recall that Yucca is one of those plants that has numerous health benefits - so I looked it up and found (FWIW) it can be used to help control diabetes, aid in digestion, lower cholesterol, reduce stress on the heart, among a bunch of other stuff.
It's a source of potassium, as well as Folic Acid and has a high level of Vitamin C. It also is supposed to help relieve arthritic pain due to it's anti-inflammatory properties, improve cognition and is supposed to help with migraines.
Thought that was kinda interesting
OG, interesting information, thanks. Still not going cuddle up to one anytime soon. I've read of other uses. What your referring to is the root, right?

That’s a handsome knife you got there. Congratulations.

@Foddering Hey Dwight. Call me crazy, but I think the Ebony is my favorite. At least judging from your image. So richly black looking.

Terdl76 Terdl76 very nice pair and images, too.

They certainly are fun to watch, if you're in to those kinds of things.
I don't know if I'm into it, but I remember when I was a little kid, they used to show the marching bands on TV during college football halftime. Much better than nowadays, with a dozen commercials, and a row of former football players babbling about what you just watched in the first half.
In the beginning, I broke quite a few as well, after making 500lbs or so it's like putting socks on a cat. :p
Did someone say "socks on a cat?"

The nice thing about having a shaving sharp blade is that it makes quick work of those plastic pillows they use for padding. I put my foot on one end of the strip, hold the other end up high in my left hand, then make a clean slice through the set from low to high, releasing the air in each as I go. It's super quick, but maybe not as fun as popping them. ;)
I do that, too! It's very satisfying, the only thing more fun to do with those packing pillows is to duct tape them to the top of your buddy's tires. :D

Dark Matter and Dog Star Dust, Rachel, what a dusky and dependable lambsfoot you have!:cool::cool: Best wishes for your friend's treatment, and kudos for being there for her. :):cool: I hope I'll know when the time comes if the treatment is worse than the malady for my age. :(
Thank you for the good wishes.

It's too dark for good pictures, but a box of treats and treasures arrived today! I'm overwhelmed!
