Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thank you, OG! your AC has nice deep furrows and rich color.:cool:

I'd have to say nope. o_O Gorgeous AC OG.

OG, That Ashley's Choice is one great looking Knife!!!
Thank you guys

Thanks OG, I love the pile-side stag on your AC :)
LOL! :D When I was a kid, the only hair-cut style pics I remember seeing were 'Crew-cut' and 'Tony Curtis'! :D I'm not sure who had the 'Tony Curtis' (other than Tony Curtis obviously). Most fellers had 'short back and sides', while us young kids would go and ask for 'just a trim', and come out having to wear a hat for a week! Me and my best pal used to alternate haircuts, just so we could laugh at each other, and make 'Kojak' and 'Yul Bryner' jokes! :D

Thank you, Jack. It's a great one, for sure. Nice pic. Whenever my grandfather would take me in for a hair cut, somehow I'd always end up with the same kind of "trim" no matter what I said  Never could catch him giving hand signals although I always wondered o_O

Yes, they are in Concord.
We drive him down there on Tuesday mornings and pick him up on Sunday nights.
The rest of the week he stays with host families. They practice from 7:00am to 9:30pm.
Super nice! I really like those ACs.
I gotta agree, the ACs are definitely special. But then again, thanks to Jack, they're definitely all good! Again, grats to you son
Good day, folks! Had to get myself caught up here (no small task).

I had a rather busy weekend. I went and saw Uriah Heep and Judas Priest in concert on Saturday. Yes, I am a bit of a metal head, but to put it in perspective, both bands have members that are in their 60s and 70s and have been making music for many decades. Uriah Heep can still rock hard and of course Rob Halford from Priest can really belt it out still.

Yesterday, I began work on building a pergola. We've been wanting a nice outdoor sitting area with a fire pit and I broke ground on it yesterday. My brother and I are manhandling the augur. I am the big guy on the left and with all of this talk of barber shops and haircuts, I think I have enough hair for the lot of you combined... :D

My garden is really taking off and soon I should have zucchini, peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, and other things.

I am eagerly anticipating some worthy additions to this burgeoning family (I think I need to update the pic, it is missing some).

Your garden is lookin very healthy and I'm sure you will enjoy the fruits of your labor. Lookin good
Fantastic collection :) Looks like you might need to start saving up for a wide-angle lens ;)

What a fantastic week of knives it has been! Everything I had hoped it would be arrived today. Fantastic fit and finish, w&t, jigging, pull is nice and strong, all steel... Very excited about this beauty. Absolutely perfect job Charlie!View attachment 1150518

Thanks John :)

My boys (and I) say, "Thank you, Jack".

We are really enjoying them, they are actually really yummy.

What a great pic, thanks guys :) :)

This time the Lambsfoot Stag is hidden behind the Olive!:)

Very nice Jose :)

This thread is too much. So many beautiful, BEAUTIFUL knives!.

I've held off as long as I possibly could, but the wait for the Waynorth Lamb's Foot has been unbearable so a couple weeks ago I put in an order for an A Wright and Son Lamb's Foot with a nice sway back in rosewood (I also just got the PayPal invoice for my Waynorth Lamb's Foot). I can't wait!

Hope you get a nice one from Wright's, and congratulations on securing one of Charlie's finest

Fantastic Dwight, what a time this is for the Lambsfoot pattern :) Congratulations

Charlie and GEC have reached knife Nirvana! I do not have the words for these.

Wonderful Leslie, congratulations

Fine looking young men John! :)
Thank you, Dwight. :)

Beautiful!

What a great pic, thanks guys :) :)
Thank you, Jack. :)

I have to confess I've been reading science fiction recently, and I think I'm under its influence. :(

Jack Black Jack Black
I'm terribly disappointed in the barlow. Here I thought it was just another workingman's knife and it turns out to be a superb stagalicious beauty! Don't let it get around or you may end up with a cult. View attachment 1149610
Asteroid's Apogee, that's astonishing stag on your Barlow, Alan!:thumbsup::cool: I hope you'll soon get over your disappointment. :p

...
I’m carrying my Rosewood model today! :D

Big Banging Black Hole, Ron, your rosewood Barlow is beyond brilliant!:cool::thumbsup:

Yesterday was a lot of driving in crazy traffic, but we made it to Stanford and back (late night). It was great seeing my son and watching him perform. They won again last night and I'm hoping for a clean sweep after today in Sacramento. It was a good thing I decided to leave my Lambsfoot in the car yesterday because they had high security and metal detectors at the performance. It would have been a LONG walk back to the car to save my knife. I hate the Bay Area

I have a relaxing day ahead as we don't leave for the Sacramento contest until afternoon. But it will be a late night getting home again. Hope you all have a great Sunday too.
...
Confounded Comets & Constellations, John, sounds like your son's band has been pounding out the music of the spheres - congrats!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Have a safe and not too cantankerous car commute to the competition!;)

...
My big'un only has three pins, but it's at least five years old. Have they changed their design?

...
Dark Matter and Dog Star Dust, Rachel, what a dusky and dependable lambsfoot you have!:cool::cool: Best wishes for your friend's treatment, and kudos for being there for her. :):cool: I hope I'll know when the time comes if the treatment is worse than the malady for my age. :(

Good point GT! :D There was a 19th century Anarchist group in Sheffield whose motto was 'War, to the knife, against the enemies of humanity', which sounds very combative, but also probably a bit long-winded for a battle-cry! :D

That's all very interesting GT, I also remember me being smarter than I actually am! :D I'm not sure I would fancy a school reunion at all, I remember bumping into a group of my old school friends in a Sheffield pub when I was in my 30's. They were all really pleased to see me, but the fact they looked so old depressed me for months! :(

I have also had to change haircut after losing the plastic grade combs before GT! :D I have also had the comb come off mid-haircut when I have been trimming it myself! The main reason I have kept it so short for decades is that I have generally not enjoyed the 'faff' of getting it cut. I quite enjoy a trip to the barbers these days though as I get to chat to Brian about knives, and it only takes five minutes to cut my hair :D

A good looking lad ;)
Extragalactic Eccentricity, Jack, I enjoy your engaging essays!:cool::thumbsup:

Lots of great stories, GT.
The Guardian thread is like my morning paper. :D
Full Moon & Fireballs, John, I'm fond of your favorable feelings!:thumbsup::cool:

Who's gonna get a patina going on their Barlow? This is the first knife I'm not jumping to get it all dark and grey looking....
Galileo, Galaxies, & Gravitation, Taylor, grandly gallant of you to give someone else a chance! ;):cool: I'm sure I'll have no qualms about using mine when it comes, but I'll carry each of my lambsfoots for 1 week out of every 7, so a patina will come gradually for mine.

Wouldn't trade mine either, Gary. We've bonded (cut twice!). ;)

I think cacophony would work!

How about: "It's clobberin' time!"?
Holy Heliocentic Heavenly Bodies, Vince, those are helpful, historic, and hypnotic suggestions! ;):thumbsup:

Who wants to help me learn to count? If you know the rhyme, join right in, everyone!! :D:thumbsup::thumbsup:
It's ONE for the money

TWO for the show :thumbsup::thumbsup:

About time for a family photo I think...

The ironwood is slightly bigger than the rosewood, and the Barlow slightly bigger still.
THREE to get ready :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Here are my four Lambs JohnDF JohnDF . Been a great year for the Lambsfoot knife!
SVbAikS.jpg
And FOUR to GO! :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Interstellar Clouds in an Image-Intesifier Tube, that was intense, inspiring, and irresistible! ;):thumbsup: Thanks for your input, Dwight & David & John & Taylor!!:cool::D

This year's battle cry could be:"We can do it because we have the Wright Barlow!"
Jumping Jupiter, @WHT, since all of my current lambsfoots are from Wright's, I'll join this jingle (or "Wright Makes Might!!")

Krink the Kuiper Belt Buckle, Jack, that's high fidelity filework!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Linda and I went to Montanas for the first time last night for a burger and beer. Ordered The Canadian Burger and I have to say it was one of the best tasting burgers we've had in years.:D
... View attachment 1149739 ...
Laws of Motion, Dave, that burger is bigger than the Large Magellan Cloud!:p Good thing your AC is All Consuming!

...
No way would I ever let Cracker Jack go either GT.
...
Mercury and Mars must migrate from the Milky Way before I'd move out my Cracker Jack, Dwight!:cool::cool:

More Lambsfoot content...
I flushed the joint and touched up the edge.
Nebulas, Novas, and Neutron Stars, John, that's a noble edge you provided!:cool::thumbsup: I have to try to build a little sharpening jig something like your lanky that will hold DMT diafolds at maybe 10, 15, and 20 degrees. (I'd like to make it adjustable in 1 or 2 degree increments, but I don't have the skills. :()

Great shot there Dwight! Were an aerodynamic lot aren't we.:D
Orbital Velocity of the Observable Universe, David, I think the Guardians should open the Mug Shots thread and post our outstanding self-portraits there! :D:thumbsup::cool:

...
Thanks GT. I'll keep an eye out for it. ;)

With all of the knives in your rotation you might need to set aside more than one day a year. :) ;)

Me! It's already seen a bit of use and I'm sure a patina will come naturally with time. I'm looking forward to it!
Ptolemaic Perturbation of Pluto's Perigee, Greg, most of my knives get carried only 2-4 weeks out of the year and they're sharing that time with a dozen other knives, so they don't do very much cutting.:thumbsup: Thanks for volunteering for patina patrol, fellow Guardian!:thumbsup::)

I seemed to recall that Yucca is one of those plants that has numerous health benefits - so I looked it up and found (FWIW) it can be used to help control diabetes, aid in digestion, lower cholesterol, reduce stress on the heart, among a bunch of other stuff.
It's a source of potassium, as well as Folic Acid and has a high level of Vitamin C. It also is supposed to help relieve arthritic pain due to it's anti-inflammatory properties, improve cognition and is supposed to help with migraines.
Thought that was kinda interesting
...
OG
Quintessence of Quasars, OG, do all those Yucca benefits come from just gazing on the plant, or do I have to ingest it some other way?? ;)

...
A fine looking fellow, that Cracker Jack!
The police down in my home town, Silver City NM nicknamed my dad Cracker Jack in his younger days because of drag racing all the time, and he usually got caught!:D
...
My parting shot...
AsxTnuc.jpg
Retrograde Red Giants in the Ring Nebula, Dennis, that patina is remarkable!!:thumbsup::thumbsup: And I've decided that I'm never giving my Ford Focus keys to Cracker Jack!:rolleyes:

I hope the name is not onomatopoeic.
BANG! You hit the nail right on the head, Vince! ;):thumbsup:

I know it's Monday, but it's going to be a great day, Guardians!
ik2yD3B.jpg
Solar Flares at the Summer Solstice, Vince, that's spectacular stag!:cool::thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians! :D

Terrestrial Telescopes Tracing the Tides of Titan, Ron! That's a smooth stag start to the week!:thumbsup::cool:

After reading the thread about Canadian importation violations and confiscation being held hostage for 25 hours doesn't seem, too, bad. Now, honestly, before PAINT YOUR WAGON who ever thought they would see Lee Marvin in a musical?
...
Well, we will see how this works out as this is my first stab at a multi-quote thanks to a video I found about this forum software on the World Wide Web....
Umbras Under Ursa Major, HC, utterly unbelievable usage of multiquotes!:thumbsup::cool:
25 hours in customs doesn't bother me, but I don't think I've ever had mail from UK go through SF before! Hey, Lee Marvin fits right in with my astronomical theme for his moving rendition of "I Was Born Under a Wandering Star"! :D:thumbsup::cool::cool:

Good morning Ron and morning to all. Have a great week!View attachment 1150236
Van Allen belts Envelop Venus, Dwight, when I see that Big Valley on your stag Hartshead Barlow!:thumbsup::thumbsup: I think I can see the Barkley Ranch in there!

Thanks Gary. I have a real soft spot for cars of the 60's, I bet that Rambler was cool! I have a bit of a thing for wagons too. Here is a pic of my Volvo.
