Pt-Luso Pt-Luso The wait was worth it. They’re beautiful. Congratulations, José.

@dc50 very cool image Dave. You’ve got the touch.

Jack Black Jack Black -Waiting for a much desired package taking its’ sweet time. Bummed even(first world problems). Then, unexpectedly, another package, bringing a big happy grin to my face. Your package with an intact, fresh as can be, Yorkshire Parkin. The real deal. Dense, tangy, chewy, and gooey. Delicious! Thank you so much. So kind of you. Love the Friend of Yorkshire pin and key chain, too.

Good Morning Guardians
Yesterday was a long and hot day at the DCI event. My son't corps won the Open Class again, and their World Class corps took second. ...
Congrats on their continued success, John!:thumbsup::cool:

Thanks Gary, I always cut my hair with comb # 1 of the machine and I do it normally every 15 days, now in the Summer I do it every 8 days!:thumbsup:
That's high frequency hair cutting, José; impressive!!:cool::thumbsup:

Looking good Jack :cool: when I receive my Rosewood it will be called "The Wild Rose" named after Alberta's Provincial Flower. :)

I’m finally convinced...

Have a good one,
OG
OG, I'll bet your sensational AC will be Always Cherished!:thumbsup:;)

...
Afterwards, it was time to work on my favorite kind of lambsfoot math:
fYxafWzh.jpg

It's presented as an addition problem above, but I tend to think of it more as a fraction reduction problem: as in "let's reduce this pile of cardboard to a faction of its size so that it fits in the recycling bin." :D
...
Admirable job of putting your investment to work, Greg! ;):cool: I liked the lambfoots equation, even though I was a little slow in catching on to the symbolic representation!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

...
Thanks, GT. I'm just thrilled that he is involved in such positive adventures.
That was great! Post of the month, GT.
Wonderful Old-Timey looking picture.
But I'm still waiting on X, Y, and Z...
5K Qs 5K Qs Fantastic post, GT. Like has already been said, Post of the Month - maybe the year. :D
Too bad you didn't get to "X" Maybe something to do with Xterrestial Xylophones
Great post.
I appreciate your positive reactions, John & OG. :) X, Y, and Z are exercises left for the reader (but I'll confess I've got NOTHING for Y besides an astronomical definition of "year" :().

I always thought it was "Now go, cat, go!" ;)
Carl Perkins and I apparently learned to count in different schools, Vince. ;) I had a pair of blue Hush Puppies (and a pair of tie-dyed Chuck Taylors) when I was a college student, but I don't know what became of them.

5K Qs 5K Qs when ever I see you have quoted one of my posts it puts a smile on may face! Thanks GT!!!!
...
Just like Taylor said my friend I always get a big smile when I see your posts. Thanks GT!
...
Thanks, gents! It's so easy and enjoyable to comment on all the great posts! ...
Thanks, Taylor and Dwight :), but, as Dennis astutely points out, I'd have no posts without yours to which I can reply! Taylor, that was a fabulous photo of your four-lamb flock/family!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Apparently shipping from the U.K. is a bit faster than I expected. I just checked the mail and had a nice little surprise waiting for me. The A Wright and Son sway back ("shaped") Lamb's Foot came in!
...
Thank you to everyone who has posted in this thread, it's really opened my eyes! I'm an absolute fanatic for sway backs, wharncliffes, and carbon steel, so I feel like this should have clicked with me much sooner, lol. I also just received an email that my Waynorth Lamb's Foot shipped today! It's been a good day. :)

Congrats on the basic rosewood lamb, @Fixall!:thumbsup::cool: I have one that I'm very fond of. :)

Holy Variable Vocabulary, a Very Variety of Vernaculars, Batman! That should be pinned at the top!:thumbsup:

Thanks for the kind comments!
And a very classic photo of yours, Gary! Well done!:)
...
Thanks for the flattery, Dennis. :) Your example is very vivid and vigorous!

...
The Jeep Wave is very friendly, makes me feel like part of a club.
...
I never even heard of the Jeep Wave until last fall, but it seems to this old farm kid to be much ado about nothing. 50 years ago when we met a vehicle on one of the gravel roads, everyone raised a finger or two off the steering wheel in greeting/acknowledgement. I think we had to practice that in driver ed classes! :D

...
I took a mail call earlier today and retrieved not just one, but two different Lambsfoot knives. One from our very own Jack and the other (through indirect means (aka, a dealer)) from Charlie.
...
Nevertheless, here are couple of teaser shots:

Congrats on their continued success, John!:thumbsup::cool:
Thank you, GT. :)

X, Y, and Z are exercises left for the reader
Lol... That was funny. Yawing Yttrium Yoda. :D

Looks like us Jeepers (and motor cycles) are keeping up the tradition.

Congratulations José! A beautiful pair!

A beautiful Barlow Harvey! And some very thoughtful additions to the package! :D
Thank you kindly Ron. Your two Barlows are equally beautiful. Hoping your Waynorth arrives soon.

JohnDF JohnDF You’re a cruel Cookie Monster, John, with an excellent image.

Fodderwing Fodderwing I completely agree with you. It’s the richness of the Black. Also that’s what I always loved about all the Guardians’ Ebony Lamb. Happy for you, Brother.

You already determined the use of my tin. I am storing my lambfoot barlow (with button and documentation) in it when it is not in use. I'm 81 and I want my heirs to appreciate it's history. When you are my age, you think about such things.

That's a nice answer my friend :)

I'm already thinking such things, and I'm only Jack's age!

Me too Vince! ;)

Exercise is something that Pam and I were just discussing over lunch. ;) Specifically the lack of and the plan to remedy that situation! My compliments to the seamstress that made the slips for our Hartshead Barlow’s Jack! They are an excellent addition. They offer more than ample protection while being light weight! They also are a very classy accessorie to a very classy Lambsfoot! :D

Thanks Ron, I'll pass that on :) When I decided to have the slips made, I asked around, and people recommended various tailors, but I thought the money I'd give to a tailor might be of more use to someone else. Ray is a feller I know who has a market stall, him and his missus Joanne have been together their whole lives, have a bunch of kids, and still have some of them, and a grandkid or two, living with them. Ray works hard, and they're happy, but they don't have a lot of money. When I said I'd rather pay someone I knew, who could use the money, Ray said his missus could do them, and I think she did a great job :)

Thanks chaps! Yip it was cranberry and they were really nice pies actually. :)

What the blazes is that contraption??
It never ceases to amaze me the pants the ad men dream up to seperate men from their hard-earned over the simple task of shaving.
I've got my other grandad's razor somewhere but unfortunately it was used as a screwdriver and there's a big chip in the edge. :(

You do live well mate :)

When I was about 13, my dad suddenly told me I needed a shave. I don't have any sons, but if I did, I'd think your boy's first shave would be a big event, and you'd set him on the right course. Not my tight-fisted father, he presented me with one of those Techmatics with one shave left on it, and to say he'd done it his whole adult life, he had about as much idea how to get a good shave as I have to moon-walk. I had one shave with the piece of junk, and went out and bought myself a Wilkinson Sword safety razor o_O

Finally, my wonderful beauties arrived, I'm delighted, congratulations Jack and also for A. Wright!!!:D:eek::thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

LOL! :D Incredible that didn't arrive as a bunch of crumbs Harvey, but I'm glad it made it my friend :) That's the only pin I've seen like that, thought it was appropriate :)

BTW That's a great pic!

 :D

Looking good Dwight :)

Had to get rid of it somehow ;) :D

Decided to go ahead and get on with the patina...love the satin finish on the Barlow's...never thought it right to have a fully polished bolster on a working mans knife.

Great stuff Justin :)
