Happy Monday, Guardians!

I've re-opened this thread to allow some of the posts above to be edited, but it has not been a very good start to my week  More later

How 'bout you?
:cool::cool::thumbsup::) Might be my favorite "I carry a lambsfoot ..." post ever, Vince!

Just had to stop in for a moment to share the lambfoot I snagged, but more importantly to update those who remember the custom build I had done by Timothy La Combre, which you can read about here: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/timothy-la-combre.1642909/page-2

See you around again sometime!
W:eek:W, Joshua, you know how to pick 'em!! Congrats on the jigged bone Waynorth lambsfoot, and thanks for dropping in to share your good fortune!:cool::cool:

... The LAMBFOOT is THE knife! So, I sent off to Sheffield for my very own A. Wright and Sons Lamb foot knife! Awesome little guy with it's horn handle and snappy spring and so handy straight edge. Been enjoying it for about a year now.
So, then one day, I must have been napping, because there was all this talk about the Waynorth Lamb foot from Great Eastern and I was too late to order one and people were already showing theirs off! Dang, I missed it! So, I thought there may be the off chance I could find an old one online somewhere, and wouldn't you know it - I did! An old IXL that looks like the inspiration for the Waynorth, and from a seller in Sheffield, England to boot. It never even left home! Hah.
A day or so later, I then found one of Charlie's knives on the web, and though I paid way too much, I now have one of those masterpieces too!
Anyhow, let's see if I can post a few pictures.
Ben
Welcome to the Guardians, Ben! :) I admire the variety of your 3 lambsfoots (so far ;))!:thumbsup::cool:

...
Welcome to the Guardians. Those are fantastic lambsfoot knives and the old IXL is a swooner! Now ... simmer down Ben... you're gettin a little wild!!  :D

What a unique knife your rosewood HHB is, Dwight!:thumbsup::cool:

For the iPhone users, a tip I learned a few months ago is that the earbuds with built-in microphone and volume controls can act as a shutter release. Just plug them in and then press either the volume up or volume down button—I forget which, and it may depend on model—to snap the photo.
I don't have an iPhone (or a smart phone of any kind ), but it's cool to see this arcane knowledge; thanks, Greg, for being a wizard with knowledge of the "secret things"! ;):thumbsup: (Who would design such a feature??)

7/7/19 is July 7, 2019 in the U.S. AND Europe.
Have a glorious Sunday, Guardians!

Vince, your pile side stag is even better than I thought it was; sensational!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Intriguing date observation that I'd never thought about; I guess it happens monthly, right? Cause for a celebration EVERY month! ;):cool:

Groovy stag, Dave, and that pic is so spaced out!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Your knife is a chip off the old hart's head! ;) I guess I haven't noticed a full-open shot before; it initially looked strange to me with the blade spine and back of handle such a straight line. I'm used to the swayback profile.

Good morning Guardians! :) Hope y’all have a great day! I’ve got these two on board this morning for the Women’s World Cup Final! Go Team USA!!!:thumbsup::D:D

Couple of world champion knives, Ron!:cool::thumbsup: I'm glad the US women won, but the game was a win-win situation for me, whatever the outcome. If the Netherlands had won, I could also celebrate because of my and their consanguinity! :D:rolleyes:

It's remarkable!! :eek::cool::cool:

Good Morning Guardians
Delectable stag, John! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

LOL! Great photo, GT!
...
I'm glad you had a great day. I originally misread this and thought you said "cobbler" and I was expecting to either see some dessert or wonder why you were carrying a shoe maker. ;)
...
Glad you liked the photo, Greg. :)
Thanks for sharing your entertaining misreading! :p:thumbsup:

A couple! ;) :D

Glad you're having fun with it GT, you can always upgrade :) That's a great pic my friend

No problem with maintenance discussion

LOL! :D You should see Stan Shaw's Gary! He always says that whenever he goes to hospital, they never have to look for a vein! :)

Thanks for your interesting responses, Jack. :)
That photo of Stan Shaw's hands is amazing!:thumbsup::thumbsup::cool: He certainly has prominent veins, but I find his knuckles especially fascinating.

I like Dylan's original, but Hendrix's too. I think Dylan has been performing it more like Hendrix after he heard it. Saw Dylan thrice in concert.

Just had to squirt water at that darn cat to stop her antagonizing my Chihuahua sitting quietly beside me.
Having 3 Dylan concerts under your belt is enviable, Vince!:cool::thumbsup:
Your pet story made me laugh out loud! :p:D:D

I am post a video of the last Guardians of the Lambsfoot training session and it is important that you watch all 42 seconds. Some Guardians take this title more seriously than others.
...
OK, is it possible to relinquish my commission in the Guardians?? That sort of rough treatment is not what I signed up for!:rolleyes::D

Hope Sunday morning is going well for you Guardians. I carry a Lambfoot...

Gary, I got the pictures transferred and have these three photos to show. First one is to show the size of this particular yucca, it's what I would a call a medium size. The second and third is to give you a view of the spikes and the needle like end. The broader, darker green is brome grass leaves growing in and nearby.

Yuk! That yucca definitely looks spikier and more hazardous than the "designer" version in my backyard!

The Porch was set up for the purpose of non-commercial discussion about traditional knives - to talk about KNIVES, not the BUYING OF KNIVES.

Jack
Good morning, Jack.

I'm glad you said the above. It seems to get worse everyday. The line between what flies and what don't seems to get wider and more blurry all the time. You can find posts whining about GECs availability around every corner it seems.
Things that were not allowed in the past....apparently are allowed now.
(I don't get it.)
I am not sure where it ends, but it's very frustrating. Some people just will NOT listen and it seems to be all they want to discuss is the buying process.

I love the texture, color and finished shape of the Stag on my HH Barlow. Good things, like this knife, seem to ease the frustration mentioned above for me.:)

Have a good day, friend.

Well, I missed out on Charlie's great Lambsfoot SFO. What's a guy to do? I went out and found this Venture online. It was quite the jalopy, broken covers, sprung spring, etc. I put some nice NOS bone on it, and it's quite serviceable now.

Glad you can see that, wasn't sure it come out in the photo.
What an epic post, Gary...don't know how you got all those quotes in there. BF tells me that I'm over the limit of 10,000 characters frequently. You must have a magic over-ride key!

You're right, Mark, especially about the stag on that wonderful HHB.
About what's allowed and what's not...
Frank and Gary do a marvelous job!!! Kudos to them! The Guardians thread, and The Porch have seen many new participants...among them are those who will push the 'envelope'. They do this either knowingly or not. It is invasive here and in our day to day life. The most immediate example I can point to is the way people drive now, posted speed limits mean nothing, no signaling for a turn and I'm going to get in front of you no matter what. I'll stop now and hope I haven't crossed the line!
I carry and Lambsfoot because...

Nice job, neat that you have those kind of skills!

Thank you Charlie for taking care of em. They definitely are operating at a disadvantage. So good to have you here and healthy again. A blessing for all of us.

World champion knives on a World Championship Sunday! Thanks Gary! I could understand how you could have been happy either way if you have ancestral ties to the Netherlands! :) Union Jack is a great example of the Rosewood model! A great EDC Lambsfoot!:D

Mark I couldn’t agree more with your post sir! I also agree on your Hartshead being some fantastic stag!:D

That looks great my friend! Very nice bone! Welcome to the Guardians! Your work on the Lambsfoot pattern has been well represented here. Dylan’s @Pàdruig Red Jigged Bone medium Lambsfoot and my Ironwood Bigun have both gathered many likes and compliments! :)

Look at this Roma tomato I had for breakfast and you’ll know at least one reason why I CARRY A LAMBSFOOT! ;) I hope all of you Guardians have a great day! :D
