Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Very nice gift.
Had a flat cap just like that one once. Wore them when I was younger. Been watching old Cagney movies, and he often wore one. Used to be very common in the U.S. too back in the '20s and '30s.
And I love those Chimay glasses. May drink my beer today in one. At beer o'clock. ;)

Paul is such a thoughtful guy :) Yes, I think they are common in old US movies, I guess fashions change though. They are enjoying a bit of a renaissance here at the moment, though they have always been popular. I have a couple, but my favourite is made from Harris Tweed. Too hot to wear it at the moment, but I am looking forward to being able to wear it again :) Thank you Vince, I hope Beer O'Clock comes for you soon my friend ;) At the end of my hike yesterday, I found a beer shop with a great range at prices much cheaper than where I live, a great range of Sam Smiths beers. I bought lots of strong stouts and porters, but will try to keep them until it gets a little cooler, then I can drink them in my cap! :D

Thanks pal :) I hope all the Guardians who are able to attend the GEC Rendezvous (a common word here, so we usually shorten it to 'RV') have a wonderful time :) 2019 is definitely the Year of the Lambsfoot :)
Thanks Jack. There's sure to be several in attendance. I'll be taking my Hartshead Barlow's along with my AC and of course my new Waynorths for show and tell. I'll also take my wiping cloth and my small travel size bottle of mineral oil. It'll be a chore to keep all the fingerprints and drool off of my precious Lambs! ;) Thanks for all the old Sheffield photos Jack! A fascinating history in the area for sure! :D

Beautiful photo of your wonderful Waynorth, Ron.:thumbsup:
Thanks John! :)

Good Morning Guardians
A family photo for you all today...
Great family photo John! :)

LOL! :D Great stuff Ron, I always enjoying reading the reports and seeing the pics, have a great time my friend :)

Pairing this one, from Huddersfield's Magic Rock brewery with Snyder's pretzels! ;) :D

I'm never sure of the purpose of 'Black IPA's other than brewers showing off, but this one was in my fridge, and it tastes OK :) Certainly not as strange as the 'White Coffee Stout' I had on Yorkshire Day, which while utterly delicious, still has me scratching my head o_O

As we all know, we have our indoor, outdoor, general carry, and Sunday best knives. We choose some knives for these categories while other knives make their own decisions...
This beautiful Hartshead creation from Jack seems to prefer the outdoors. :)
I really like this picture with a wonderful old historic brick home built in 1879 as the backdrop.

Great photo my friend, hope you're having a wonderful weekend :)

John, do you love your family equally? ;):)
Hmmm...
If I was forced to choose just one right now, it would be so difficult.
The Rosewood was my first Lamb, still my most used knife, and a very generous gift from Jack.
Then there's the Waynorth, a generous gift from ED. They would have to pry that one from my fingers.
They both mean so much to me, it's just too close to call decisively. But definitely one of those two.:thumbsup:

Great family photo John! :)
Thank you, Ron. :)

Just put this feller (a very thoughtful gift from Mr @paulhilborn ) up in the hall to guard my flat-cap ;)

Congratulation, Jack. What a great gift from @paulhilborn :thumbsup:

A new approach for me in catching up to this thread. This post will be some interesting (to me) posts in the "decade" of the 1370s. Maybe I'll do the 80s and even the 90s later today. :)

Some lambsfoot content:

Thanks, Dwight. The pile side of the Barlow is not bad either.

Vince, thanks for letting us look at your stag HHB from both sides now; you're the host with the most toast! ;):thumbsup::cool:

Love this slim shady!
Even with a compass available, I get lost in the white rose beauty of that blond horn, Dennis!:thumbsup::thumbsup:;)

FBC, your black horn lambsfoot with silver streaks is also a winner, as wild as a hippo and water buffalo meeting at Starbucks!:cool::thumbsup:;)

Jack, Ron, GT, and others - good to see you holding down the fort .......... or should I say propping up the porch !! :D

Still alive and well - still fishing and have taken up match flintlock long rifle shooting the past two years. Still have all of my knives and lately the expensive long rifle hobby.

Going to the CLA show in a few weeks and have my eye on a stag fixed blade knife that I might try to acquire. Enjoyed looking at your fine knives today !

Ron - very handsome lambs foot !!!
Thanks for the update, Primble. :) Keep living' the dream, sir!:cool::thumbsup:

Alluring American Lambsfoot, Dwight! :thumbsup::cool::cool:

Good morning Guardians! Hope y’all have a great day! :)

What a recipe for rosewood! ;):cool:

Vintage, venerable, ancient, aged - whatever you call it, that's a handsome lambsfoot, Harvey!:thumbsup::cool:

Hi Guardians,

Hope everyone is having a good day :) I'm tired, but survived child-minding in one piece! :D We had tea and biscuits (cookies), and some of the jelly beans Vince sent me recently (not the Tabasco ones! :D) with a game of cards, then went for a walk in the woods with the dog. We found an enormous patch of blackberries, and some mirabelle plums, so picked some of those. After lunch, and some tea and Jammy Dodgers, I was entertained with magic tricks, stand-up comedy, and acrobatics. Then, while the youngest two played on the trampoline, I did some fire skills with my mate's eldest lad - ferro techniques, different tinders, and then fire and steel, followed by some whittling, and knot-work. I had a cup of coffee, and then played darts with my friends' little girl, while the two lads read their books

Teaching is a rewarding profession, don't you agree, Jack! ;):thumbsup::thumbsup:

Well folks, I'm pretty beat, so I'm going to have a cup of tea, sort out a few things for tomorrow, and then hit the hay. I have to leave early in the morning, so if I don't get a chance to post, I'll take this opportunity to wish you all a Happy Yorkshire Day (and don't forget to enter my giveaway) ;)

Your fancy version of the stag HHB is very fetching, Jack!:cool::thumbsup: As is that photo of the Yorkshire vista; that building in the foreground with the retractable roof is quite impressive!:D

Cracker Jack's scheduled appearance in my pocket ended Saturday, but I decided to take him on vacation with us. I hope I'll get some new pics of him soon, but for now, an old one:
