Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I have tried 3 times to answer quotes and comment on the fantastic pics but it is just not in the stars I guess.
So I'll post a pic and say "Have a great week my fellow Guardians!"

Fantastic model Volksy!!! If you took the Lamb Foot off the roof, it would look like the real vehicle.

Nice post and pics, Modoc Ed!

"RAF Base Edzell, Scotland"

Would that be a FLR-9 ("Flare-9") I see, aka "Elephant Cage"?

John

I've posted below a cast of lambsfoot characters I encountered in the 1390s pages of this thread, mostly in order of appearance.

Have a stupendous weekend y'all!

Call it monkey business if you will, but 2018 was a very good year for stygian ebony Guardians lambsfoots!:thumbsup::cool:

That's beguiling burl, Dwight! I seem to have lost emoji ability for now )-:

ED, your horn lambsfoot is outasight, you old non-hippie!

Near-perfection, Ron!

Great example of the 2-tone ironwood 2019 Guardians lambsfoots, Dwight!

Intriguing old photos, Jack; thanks for showing us both sides of your stag HHB!

Good Morning Guardians
A family photo for you all today...
Fantastic Four, John!

Hello Guardians! Made it to Dublin. Internet service is fine at our hotel but there will be places where it going to be “iffy”. Didn’t bring my lamb foot. Afraid of losing it whilst traveling. Hope you all had a great weekend.
Thanks for the update, Bill; I hope you have a memorable trip!

The covers on that vintage lambsfoot make it my favorite of your oldies (I think), Harvey!

... I'm throwing my Rosewood in my pocket as there will be meat cutting duties ahead... Have a Great Sunday, All.:thumbsup:

The always-advantageous African rosewood lambsfoot!

... I'll be taking my Hartshead Barlow's along with my AC and of course my new Waynorths for show and tell. I'll also take my wiping cloth and my small travel size bottle of mineral oil. ...
Good plan, Ron; make sure you remember! I brought many knives on my vacation, and picked up a new knife at a hardware store in Mackinaw City on the south end of the Mackinac Bridge. I brought silicon carbide stones, a DMT Aligner system, a strop. But I forgot my little bottle of mineral oil! How am I going to pile the joints??

Thanks for your efforts my friend :) Yes, very much so I think, I have done a lot of it over the years :) I am sure that Cracker Jack is thrilled by the idea of going away with you, I hope you have a great time Gary :)
Thanks for the acknowledgement, Jack!

5K Qs 5K Qs Thank you G.T. Bon Voyage to you and yours, and Cracker Jack.
...
Thanks, Harvey. We drove up on Saturday; the 6-hour trip seems longer every year! Walked a total of 8 miles yesterday to go to a Sunday flea market in a nearby town. No good knives there (but lots of fresh fruits and vegetables), and the adjacent antique store where I've made some amazing knife finds has gone out of business in the past year. Nice weather, great surroundings, good food so far!

...
Thank you for the kind words, Gary!:)

Even CJ needs a vaca!:D:thumbsup: Oldie but goodie!

Thanks for the encouraging words, Dennis!

Thanks for the info, Harvey; I may have to "read all about it"!

LOL! Yes, it's a real rough-house Gary, right down to the embroidered cushions! :D ;)

My wife claims that embroidered cushions are known to leave a mark should a pillow fight break out! But she DID get me a fine lambsfoot in York!

Good morning, Guardians! Me and "Jelly" went and did something good this weekend.

Why "Jelly", Matt??

A year ago today I climbed Great Gable, in the Lakes District, with a gift from Jack Black. Wish I were there today!

Thanks for posting that 2-blade I*XL lambsfoot, Russell!

Marvelous mod, Harvey!

You're welcome. The pattern was new to me too. Got four now:

The two stag and the ironwood were special factory orders by Jack. Not sure about the rosewood, but it was also probably an SFO. It was a gift from another member.

It's a versatile and useful pattern.
Tough to beat 4 Aces, Vince!

Love that rosewood HHB in the sunshine!

I’m sure everyone is tired of seeing my plain jane rosewood lambfoot. Lol I just love this knife. It has barely left my pocket since I got it. Dollar for dollar you would be hard pressed to find a better knife IMO.
I'm not tired of it, since I have one just like it that was my first lambsfoot!

Here's Union Jack, my rosewood, on vacation a year ago, and he's with me again this year.

Well, it started out as my Lambfoot Ninety-Three, or LFNT... which I figured could be sounded out like 'elephant', so she could be called Ellie... but since there are two versions, she's really Jigged Ellie, or "Jelly"!

So Jelly is her name. And yes, I have issues!

Union Jack is looking good!

@mitch4ging - Thank you Dennis for the nice words. The horn covers on your Lambsfoot are exquisite.

5K Qs 5K Qs I thank you G.T. for the nice things you said. I, too like the Albert Oats Lambsfoot.

Impressed that you took a “casual” walk of six miles. Enjoy your vacation. Your Union Jack looks right at home at your watery retreat.

Jack Black Jack Black - Your twin bladed vintage Lambsfoot is a real beaut. Is that the Unity?

Nice post and pics, Modoc Ed!

"RAF Base Edzell, Scotland"

John

Not sure of the spelling - it's been a few years - but it's a Wullenweber Antenna Array. HFDF (High Frequency Direction Finding).

I missed this pic earlier Ed, I live just a few miles away from RAF Menwith Hill

Jack Black Jack Black It was surprising, but I can work with it. I'd probably ask for an exchange if the distance wasn't so great, but I'm not very patient

It may be sufficient just to send Wright's photos of the knife, rather than returning it. I'd hope they'd send you something better

Such a great knife! Love the shape and the wonderful stag!:thumbsup: nice, Jack!

...

Very cool, Jack!! Great historical piece!:thumbsup:

How very thoughtful! Good for you, Jack, and kudos to Al for his generosity!:)

Evening, All!

Many thanks Dennis, lovely horn on that knife :)

Thanks Dennis! :) It’s my Rendezvous bag full of knives, a small precision needle oiler filled with mineral oil, three wiping clothes, a lighted magnifier and a 10X loupe! :D

Sounds like you're well-equipped Ron! :)

Cool pic my friend :)

Thanks Dave, I ended up with that one because it had a slightly proud tip, and I didn't want to send it to anyone else. I meant to drop the tip a little, so it sat back inside the frame, but I have never got round to it :)

Here they all are again :) Still a few needing a name, I think @pmew, @gunstockjack, and @Campbellclanman all have knives there
