Therapeutic, isn't it?Spent some time this afternoon sharpening, cleaning old buffing compound, sanding/cleaning inside the nail nick, buffing the ebony, oiling joints etc.

Congrats! These new lambs are awesome! I got the jigged version, and it hasn't left my pocket since about a day after I got it.Today, just as I was starting to worry about where my lambsfoot was on it's journey, my wife came in with package in hand after checking our mailboxYeah ... finally

I'd like to thank all the Guardians for their well wishes and prayers, but the stress test did not go well. They say the results were abnormal, and I need to see a cardiologist. Unless he signs off on it next Tuesday, I can't have the neck surgery. I'm frustrated beyond words.

Once I put an edge on this one I think it will be a fine knife. This stag on the mark side was very thick so I sanded it down to match the thickness of the pile side; feels much better in hand now. After repairing the play in the blade the action ended up quite nice, though I need to sand the pivot pin back flush with the bolsters.
As compared to my last two the blade on this one is actually well made; the geometry is spot on, everything even and the best part is that the thick area near the choil isn't present, so I can actually sharpen the edge all the way down.
Thank you, Harvey, your photos are always worthy of a magazine cover.

I love all the Pie content. Definitely on my my bucket list to try. But until then, my absolute favorite kind is pizza. Here’s a homemade one.

Oddly enough, it's raining here this morning, first rain in about a month and a half!

I'm counting the weeks until Fall. Usually I hate it when the stores jump the gun on holidays, but I'm always happy to see the Halloween stuff show up, even if it's in August. Gives me hope that Autumn will come.
It's so hot today, the HHB is staying under the rosemary!

How very cool, sounds like a great visit! Look forward to what they work up in the future!
Thanks, Jack. Slight change of plans: instead of BBQ we are going to my son's for lunch, and I'll get to see my granddaughter.![]()
