It's my favorite of all the lambsfoot.Thank you, Dave. You know I love ebony.![]()
Well, maybe I exaggerated a little. I would probably wear at least a sweater or light jacket in the 40s, maybe even low 50s.Vince, I must have thin (and undoubtedly royal) blood. If the temp is below 70˚F, I usually wear a jacket. (Since we keep our thermostat at 68 during the winter, I wear a jacket and hat indoors all winter.)
Never noticed. But I don't want to compare because I don't want to listen to Lynard Skynard. My wife thinks I'm crazy, but asThe Werewolf and Alabama connection is in their musical similarity, rather than lyrically.
Your multiquotes were almost all taken from a single one of my posts. I find that the most difficult type of multi-quoting to manage. You did an impressive job!![]()
Attractive presentations of your stag HHBs, John and Vince!![]()
Thanks, guys!Thank you, Vince, it's always nice to see the rosewood working out.![]()
Gary, Rosie has had a hard life so far, 'rode hard and put away wet', so to speak...not literally as far as being wet. The ironwood has seen several mishaps all due to my being a BFO. Those are my users the others I carry and am really careful with! Thanks for the backstory on that shot, Preston.I'm vacationing by a lake, and have taken a number of photos on the docks; it makes me VERY nervous!

Thank you, Harvey. The compass and the Waynorth is a great matched pairing.
Thank you Preston. You made pizzas, working to get through college? Respect. Thanks Harvey, pizza is one of my favorites also. I worked my way through college making pizza, yours looks delicious...that crust gets the pjsjr seal of approval!![]()
Well, come on down here for a visit! It's gonna be 104 today, and won't get below 80 at night for some time to come.Vince, I must have thin (and undoubtedly royal) blood. Thank you very much, Rachel!Smoke sent, Dennis.
I'll spare you posting Taylor Swift's "Shake it Off" video, lest it trigger another.
Thank you, John! I appreciate it!Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you bounce back quickly, my friend.
Thank you kindly, Ed!Take care of yourself Dennis.
Thank you very much, Harvey!mitch4ging - Sorry to hear this. Best wishes for you to feel better, my friend.
Muchos gracias, mi hombre! All the best and peace to you my friend.![]()
Beautiful place! Love the fire wagon, such vivid colors!Good Morning! My wife and I went to an area not far from our home its called the Ranche.
Historic Cochrane Ranche Site
The Town of Cochrane’s most notable park is the Historic Cochrane Ranche Site. With its spectacular mountain views, this beautiful public space is the original site of Alberta's first large-scale livestock operation established by Senator Matthew Cochrane in 1881.
I took a couple of photos this evening, the first is a photo of the first Hospital built-in 1909 restored 2005 the second is a preserved fire wagon not a lot of capacity
in that one. The last photo is, my lovely HHB Sambar Stag staged on one of the many old trees throughout the area.

Oddly enough, it's raining here this morning, first rain in about a month and a half!Morning Guardians, it's raining heavily here, and I'm just waiting for my train to Sheffield
Thank you very much for the kind words, David!Wishing you a speedy recovery Dennis; take it easy.
That's a cool photo with your lambsfoot on that old block.
Great shot, David! I really haven't used mine much either...but love carrying it!I still can't bring myself to use this one properly for anything other than (very) light duties so she's a bit of a shelf queen (or a pub beer garden table queen).

I was afraid I was being too flippant. I really do hope you're doing okay. Best wishes.Thank you very much, Rachel!
And thank you VERY MUCH Rachel!![]()
I'm counting the weeks until Fall. Usually I hate it when the stores jump the gun on holidays, but I'm always happy to see the Halloween stuff show up, even if it's in August. Gives me hope that Autumn will come.I'm right there with you, Rachel! Ready for fall!
Cool "pre-p"shot of your HHB!

Aye Jack, my August was just got silly busy, which I had an inkling it would, and it's not finished yet so I won't be round much for the rest of the month either.
Delicious looking pie btw!
I hope this makes up for lack of donn pie action.

Thanks Jack!Enjoy your Sheffield visit my friend!

How very cool, sounds like a great visit! Look forward to what they work up in the future!I just got in after my trip to SheffieldI had a lengthy visit to Wright's, and a good long chat with Michael, the new owner. He's halfway through his first year at the helm, and is really settling into the role. One of the things we talked about was the hard pull on the pen blade of the two-blade Lambsfoot knives. Michael showed me a long-standing Wright's pattern I haven't seen before, a Shadow pattern, with a bird's eye pivot, bexoid scales, and a Sheepsfoot main blade and secondary pen. It has the same springs as the two-blade Lambsfoot, but both blades open much more easily, so it seems that it might be the way the Lambsfoot knives are put together which may be the issue, with the bolster holding the blades together too tightly. I said that I didn't like the design of the pen blade itself, but Michael pointed out he has inherited these patterns, and I think we will see some changes in the next couple of years, as well as further improvements in quality
I also bumped into John Maleham, the old gaffer, and it was good to see him, along with Ashley too, who is building up some patina on his Hartshead Barlow

If anyone is ever stricken in the Syracuse NY area, I highly recommend Saint Joseph's Hospital. The nurses are to die for.

Not that Old Stubby needs a hospital.

That Waynorth bone lambfoot is to die for, congrats...with a good amount of jealousy and envy
Thanks Harvey, yes, having a good time with any of these is an easy task
Great photo Dennis, sorry to hear about your seizure and hope your recovery is quick and complete!
Dave, wonderful photos, that hospital is quite quaint as is the fire wagon. Looking at those items and seeing what we have today is quite revealing as to how far we have come!
Looking forward to your report of the adventures in Sheffield!
That is a peach of a photo with the detail you have captured!
David, I have trouble using, a few of, what I consider my 'finer' lambfoot knives. Hope all that is keeping you away gets settled down and your back sooner. Wonderful photos!
Jer, I hope that was 'tongue in cheek'
Ah, a slingshot...thanks for the info...it looks like it's a fine work of art!!
Not to worry Jack. It is greatly appreciated as are all the extras in the package.
Lovely pics, Dave. And good morning to you!
