Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Upsy Daisy Guardians. I'm going out in the back yard and field this morning and may need to find my way if I get lost and may have to send a distress signal. This calls for my Rosewood Big-un.

Your backyard is like an oasis in the desert.
Striking to see the transition at the fence

WATER is the key. We are on a well and it is rated as a Residential Well - approximately 30-gallons a minute. A ranch or farm well has to pump much more volume and is much deeper. A couple years back a farmer drilled a new well on his farm. He managed to get 500-gallons a minute at 800-feet deep. There's a ranch about twenty miles from here in Canby, CA that has a well that pumps 15000-gallons a minute. Ya ought to see that well when running full throttle. And that's not the highest volume well in this area.

Good Morning Guardians! I’m carrying my lambfoot Barlow today, it seemed like a good Wednesday carry.

Looking good Jon :)

Good Morning Guardians! Carrying my Hartshead today and doing Meals on Wheels. Also, going to be cutting some bails of pine straw open and mulching some flower beds.

Good for you Bill, nice to see your Hartshead :)

Good Morning folks. I haven't been able to get my Waynorth out for any adventures, so here is a boring photo with my morning coffee in a Longaberger mug on an old oak commode. I had arthroscopic hip surgery on Monday and having to behave myself a bit so I am limited in what I am doing. Recovering nicely, paying no attention to the doctor's orders. Ditched the crutches already. I had my other one done about 5 years ago and know what to expect and what my limitations are. They did have to stitch a tear this time, but still feels good, no pain.View attachment 1186570

Glad to hear you're recovering well Fred

Morning Guardians. Glad your surgery went well Fred, but try not to overdo it too soon :)

Good advice Mike

Careful, it might have pocket hog tendencies as well. Mine sure does. :)

:D

Good morning Guardians! :) I know it’s hard to believe, but I’m Lambless this morning! I’ll expect y’all to carry on with all those beauties so I can admire them from my ICU recliner! Maybe in a couple of days we can get moved to a regular room! :)

Hope things are getting better with your BIL, and that you'll be able to celebrate with a Double Lambsfoot Day ;) :)

I'll carry an extra one for you Ron. :)

Nice pocket kit Ed :) Wow, looks like you really put some work into your garden :)

My apologies, this thread moves so fast it is hard to keep track. I have been visiting an uncle who is rehabbing from a partial leg amputation up until Monday. Fortunately, I don't have to do anything other than check in at the front desk. I can carry all the knives I want.

Hope he's recovering OK Fred, we sure are a bunch of wounded soldiers at the moment :(

Jack Black Jack Black - Change is good and so is your Rosewood HH Barlow, Jack.

@E40 - Wishing you a speedy recovery, Fred.

Half/Stop Half/Stop - Your Brother in law moving to a regular room sounds great. May his improvement continue, Ron.

Good Morning Guardians.

That sounds like a plan Jack! :) Good to see your Rosewood Hartshead out in nature! :D

JohnDF JohnDF - Is that a Standard or a Big-un and how'd you come by it? I think that's your favorite and a beauty she is.
It's ONE of my favorites. ;)
Your gifted WCLF being the other one.
The pictured knife was a gift from Jack.
It is handled in African Rosewood (not many made).
It is a standard size Lambfoot with very good Fit and Finish.

The African Rosewood and the WCLF probably have the best two actions of all my knives.
The Rosewood is buttery smooth with it's strong spring and no half stops.
The Waynorth has solid walk and talk and some of the loudest 'snap' I've had on a GEC.
They are both Super-Duper in my book.:thumbsup:

It is elk season and I am in the process of packing up my bow and other gear and will be hitting the forests and mountains for a week long excursion. I will be taking quite a number of knives, including more than a couple Lambsfoot blades, and will be seeking to give Linus a good and proper PNW sendoff before he makes his way down to Greg.

In the meantime, I've got this one with my morning coffee today.

Good fortune to you on your hunt, Dylan.
Nice pic of your Waynorth.

flatblackcapo flatblackcapo - Thank you. Quite an appealing image. Beautiful horn and patina.
Thanks. Harvey.

Ron, I hope your BIL stays on the healing path .

That's HOT Kevin! Hope it's cooler today

Thanks for the kind words my friend, that's a great pic :D :)
Yeah, it was a little toasty yesterday. I needed a little energy yesterday so I made myself a coffee and peanut butter chocolate ice cream shake. Sitting on the porch, enjoying my shake , this little guy decided to hang out with me.

Onearmbladenut Onearmbladenut , did you mean to post this in the Ramsfoot thread? Also, I don't think that vendor is on the BFC-approved paid dealers list.

Thanks Rachel
