Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I can see why Ed :D that's one lambsfoot I totally regret missing out on.
Thanks Dave !
I was very fortunate to acquire this one as I also missed out on that run and got this one from Charlie “WayNorth” directly as it was the LAST one left that was kept if any needed replaced and none needed to be so I got lucky and Charlie was kind enough to reach out to me.
They pop up periodically on the block for sale but they go fast.

Love to see a knife being well used, with the battle scars to show for it.:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks! I do enjoy putting my lambsfoot flock to use.

It's work done, now it'll keep me company while the stew, uh, stews in the oven for a couple of hours.

The lambsfoot was returned to my pocket before the dutch oven hit the oven of course. ;)

The liquid is half red wine that the meat had previously marinated in and half homemade beef stock. Should be tasty, I hope. :)

I can guarantee it will be tasty, it will be sensational. Any thing marinated in red wine and beef stock is always a culinary delight.!!!

Thank you for your generous faith in my culinary abilities. :)

I misspoke about its work being complete. Tomorrow is garbage collection day and I’d forgotten there were a couple of cardboard boxes to break down for the recycling bin.

As you may notice, the new layer of patina from the food prep picked up a couple of scrapes from the cardboard slicing. Such is the life of a working lambsfoot.... :)

Nice pic :)

Jack Black Jack Black Morning, re your post yesterday about going to York and browsing the hardware store and antique shops. I am currently house sitting in rural Victoria in a place called Kyneton about 60 miles out of Melbourne, there is a hardware store here and your post reminded me to go and have a browse. It is one of a chain, not a small family run one, any way could not help myself, saw a very cheap sharpening stone that i had to buy. Like knives, when you're a victim, you can never have to many sharpening implements. Have used it to sharpen up one of my Lamb Foot's and so far works really well, but time will tell. But sometimes, just sometimes, these cheap buys turn out to be a real bargain. But in the never ending world of knives, you are always spending money, goes with the territory, glad you had a good day in York, and mate i do "love" a good burger, have a good one.:)

Thanks a lot pal, that sounds like a nice trip, I do like to browse round a good hardware store, and generally find something to pick up, even in the small ones :D That looks like a nice stone :)

Thank you, i use it as a work horse knife, so it gets a bit battered, but that is what they are made for in my opinion. That is why i chose it to test out the new sharpening stone, and it came up sharp as.

I couldn't agree more, a Lambsfoot is made for using :t

Still my all time favorite!!

Mmmmm...I was just saying yesterday, it's getting to stew time of year! :D Nice work Greg

Mine has some nice leather slip battle scars from gently pulling in and out to admire and fondle.
It has seen no battle fields and will not unless she’s drafted :p
Oh but in training she terrorized some envelopes like no other ! :D

:D

Missed our walk yesterday, so we went today! Between the raindrops!! Sheesh!!!
Now that I am home , it's not raining!!!

Good morning Guardians! I present my newest acquisition, a TA Davison; mahogany jig bone, A2 blade steel, bolsters & liners are stainless, mill relieved, coined edge.
Shield is stainless, inlaid & double pinned. Carrying it today and enjoying it and my coffee this morning. I hope this is suitable for this thread as it is a lambsfoot style blade.

Congratulations Fred, that sure looks like a Lambsfoot blade. Todd makes an incredible knife, and I think mine is the most perfectly-made knife I own. However, while it was commissioned as a Lambsfoot, it actually has a Sheepsfoot blade, a very nice one, but it isn't a Lambsfoot :( Just to clarify, are the edge and spine of the blade of your knife parallel or not?

Good morning Guardians! I’ve got my Ironwood Bigun in the pocket today!

Nice choice Ron

I've somehow managed to screw up my quotes this morning between this and the Totin' thread so I will just say -apologies and thank you to everyone- and move forward.
Enjoy the day Guardians!

I think we've all had the same experience Mark, sometimes the quotes seem to 'hang around' even if you've already replied to them  Have a good day yourself, that's a great pic

The two most amazing knife releases this year.

Good Morning Guardians

Thanks John, great pic of that ebony beauty
