Gravel turned up around the same time, and Tool Man was forced into sharing the pork pie he'd just purchased, which he only did very begrudgingly.

The cold soon got the better of Gravel and Melbourne, and they departed. I stuck it out for an hour and a half, but had a few things to do in town, so I headed off. In the market, I decided to warm up with some chips, bumping into Golden Gordon, who was having a coffee with a friend.

I bought some parkin from Our Cake Man, who I had a chat with, and then went for a coffee, before taking care of my errands. I have a bit of work to do this afternoon, but am glad to be back indoors 👍

There are many excellent photographers on BF (I am very much not one of them, but I can appreciate welll-composed pics), and you are one of the very best. All your pics are great - even if your knives were mediocre (and they are all quite lovely), your pics would still look good.

I'd certainly never seen one before today Steve, and it's a very interesting knife 😎 I don't recall ever seeing an IXL Harness Jack, though Charlie, or one of our other HJ collectors may have. I'd love to know more of the history. I may have a look in my Australian knife book, but I suspect that if there was one in there, I'd have already noticed it. Thanks for sharing Steve 👍

I have an IXL harness jack, but, with black plastic handles, not bone. I can't post it here as it is not a lamb foot.
Back to carrying my original Charlie lamb foot.

While I was looking for the pic, I also came across the slightly topical one below :D Never mind how young Bill Murray looks, look how young my Barlow looks! :D

Here's another one I loved so much I watched it so many times that it's all internalized.

I only saw that movie once as a kid Jer, completely by chance, but I was fishing-mad at the time, and so really loved it! 😁

Was going through a box of flea market and gunshow knives and came across this one. I had forgotten it was a harness jack. It doesn't compare with all the other great knives posted in this thread, but, it is the only HJ I have, other than my new CC Rider.

I think that's legitimate use, though if you can edit it to a link, that would be preferable Dan 👍 That punch has jogged my memory, I have a 1930's Wostenholm pattern with that same punch, and had already opined in a PM to the purchaser that I thought the knife was probably from the 30's. I'm sure we'll see it here, when he receives it 👍
