Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good evening, folks. I hope everyone is well.

This wonderful blade is terrific at slicing just about everything, including cutting cigars. I didn't anticipate the meal that this cigar turned into. The IPA I had made for a miserable pairing, I had to go and get some whiskey...

Great pics.
I never have a cigar with beer. Bourbon, scotch, or brandy are my favorite accompaniments. Rum will do in a pinch.

Thanks, Vince!

I have found that a good Stout or Porter will pair nicely or something that is more malty than hoppy. German beers are excellent! Even a light lager will do.

IPAs are alright if it's a lighter cigar but yes, I agree, whiskeys make for far superior pairings.

I hope your appointment will make a real difference my friend :) Hope the vet's went well too, nice photo :)
Thank you very much, Jack!! I look forward to get back to being active!:)

Henry did well, and he's back to being a monster!:D

We are settled, but I hate it!!!
I'm kicking the workers extra cash to work later and finish the flooring early. ;)
Good, hope they expedite it for you!
One of us... One of us... ;)
:D:thumbsup: And glad of it, see! (in my best James Cagney voice)
Great picture, Dennis. It's all wet and shiny, looks really cool!:thumbsup:
Thank you, John! It's on the hood of my truck.:)
Even had my Sheep Dog "Coco" help me round them up.

8zzjewP.jpg

But when "Coco" and I got all of them over to my board, there wasn't enough room on the board for all of them.
Great looking "sheep dog", that Coco!:D
Here's a picture of the ones that would fit on the board but rest assured - there are more to see.

 Holy lambs herd, Batman! What are you feeding them?! Nice, Ed!:thumbsup:
Thanks kindly for the nice words to both - Dennis mitch4ging mitch4ging and John JohnDF JohnDF :)

It’s the outer backside of a black dyed styrofoam container, similar to an egg container, except that this one holds raw, spicy Italian meatballs. I’m always looking around for backgrounds. I feel that an environmental portrait of a subject often makes the image fresh and more interesting. Of course I also like black backgrounds.
Clever, Harvey!;)
mitch4ging mitch4ging Mate just saw you have an appointment in November, hope all goes well for you, you are due some good news. Hope you enjoy the change of seasons as much as i do. Love Fall/Autumn, some of the best weather of the year.
Thank you very much!

I agree whole heartedly! I sooo look forward to getting out of town!!:thumbsup:
Best to you for your upcoming appointment. Smoke up
Thank you so kindly, Ed!:)
Good news! Dennis, I'm sure all the Guardians will be sending positive thoughts and prayers your way. :)
Thank you very much, Dave!
No doubt about it, my friend!
Joined with the Ironwood clan today, as we took our Cocker Spaniel to the Vet for a stye.
Thank you, my friend, I remember as a boy my mom would make a bread poultice to cover my eye overnight and by the morning the stye would be cleared up.:D
Of course, that wouldn't work for the pup it would be a snack. :p I think your ironwood is a fine representative for fall phots with all the wood grain and colors.
:D:thumbsup:
What color is yours, Dave? (insert photo OP ;))

Thanks for the kind words! Now if we'll get the Fall weather!

I must take my autumn pic's before Saturday as the forecast is rain turning to snow.
View attachment 1202010
Well, that didn't take long!
Will you be in a better location with the snow, being in town? Different elevation?
Your traveling in good company today with that terrific Ironwood! :D
Thank you, Ron! I thought so!:D:thumbsup:
You can check it out here then decide if you want the hard copy.

Another book you might like is Outdoorsman's Handbook by Clyde Ormond. There is even instructions on how to make a "lose proof" pocket knife sheath.

Just a rock in our front flower bed. Makes a good background.

No, the snowstorms hit much harder out in the open foothills/Prarie. This one is coming from Siberia and sounds like a biggie
Predicted to hit the South the hardest, even reaching parts of Northern Montana as well. It will be a mess for a few days then back to normal :D

Morning Mark, that's a lovely pic my friend :)
Thanks Jack. Hope your week improves and I look forward to your pics of the day.

Beautiful pictures, guys.
You both talked me into carrying my own today.
Skoll, the wolf, gets restless if I don't take him for a walk once in a while.

95 degree Fall temps? That's why I couldn't do Texas! Also, @r8shell 's calendar of above 100 days seals the deal. Nope!

Good Evening Guardians
Heading out to get some dinner and do some shopping for the house.
Looks like we will be able to leave the hotel and move back home tomorrow.
We will move in with minimal furniture and wait a few weeks for the painter to get started.
My Lambsfoot knives were comforting and brought a little taste of home with me to the hotel.

“A Walk in Nature” # 45
I came upon this little guy on a walking trail close to home. There's forest on one side and the river and marshy areas on the other.
In the spring we see a lot of turtle nests on the side of this paved trail. They dig them on the gravel and go under the pavement. Unfortunately most nest gets raided by raccoons who feast on the eggs and leave the shells scattered all over.
This one is OK and the water is nearby
