I blame Jack and Rachel... KiddingI know Jack mentioned it too, but I thought Lancashire Day was the 27th, on Wednesday. It's still Monday the 25th here, and only 4:13 am on the 26th in England right now. Or is it a two-day feast, like Purim?
Nothing wrong with celebrating a little early.Sorry to hear that John, I have had some bad tradesmen myself in the pastSorry again for getting the day wrong for Lancashire Day, I knew the date, I just got the day wrong!

Lost quotes again. These are some of them I can remember:
@strokednbored - What a sweet little girl. Her eyes show a lot of personality in there. Also, I dare say it's obvious how much she likes her apples...(and owner)
Prester John - Being a carpenter, it's only fitting I should have a hammer collection, right? I have a pile of them and you've given me the idea to start taking some Lambsfoot/hammer photos.
Jack Black &
donn - enjoy your Lancashire day celebrations tomorrow, friends!
Crazy Canuck - well done! That's a pile of goodies! I look forward to hearing your thoughts on them, Jack after you've had some time to get to know them.
JohnDF - Sorry to hear of the remodeling woes and hope you can get them rectified in time for Thanksgiving.
@mitch4ging - Good to 'see' you Dennis.
Apologies to anyone my faded memory has missed.
Sad news indeed, Jack. Appreciate you reposting the link.
Morning Guardians. Almost time to head out to work. Snowed a bit last night, and the radio's saying the roads are a bit of a mess. Google traffic says my commute time is about the same as usual though, around 30 minutes.

Love this watch, but the 4 (IIII vs IV) really bugs me... How did they get 9 right, and not 4?!

I mean, they start celebrating Christmas in October, right?
I thought I was the only one... It smells so good!

Obviously they pulled some guys off another job to finish up our little complaints and they did a rushed job.
Everything they did for two months was top-notch... but everything they did on the last day was crap.
Well Guardians, as Daviddonn noted at the weekend, tomorrow is Lancashire Day, when those born in my neighbouring Northern county of Lancashire celebrate all-things Lancashire
In the spirit of solidarity with those poor souls unlucky enough to have not been born in Yorkshire, I will be genning up on Lancashire this evening, and hoping to celebrate with them tomorrow, perhaps having a pie and/or a chip butty, and most definitely an Eccles cake. I'll also see if I can get hold of a Lancashire-brewed pint to toast my Northern brothers and sisters and wish them a very Happy Lancashire Day

Edit - Sincere apologies Guardians! This Yorkshire pudding got it wrong!Lancashire Day is not until Wednesday! Very sorry for the confusion
Thanks to Vince
Prester John for spotting my mistake

Thanks chaps; though you had me a little confused then.![]()
I hope you enjoyed the Eccles cake Jack. I'm going to have to grab myself some of them to.
That's quite a list of achievements their Jack. And here's me thinking that all us Lancastrian's had ever really done was annoy Yorkshire.
And I'm going to have to look at Marbles website now.
It's not a two day feast; Lancastrians will just eat as normal. A couple of bacon buttys for breakfast, 3 or 4 sausage rolls for lunch with maybe a pasty or three after. Then some cake or a tart. Couple of packs of crisps (chips) and a chocolate bar or two. Then half a pack of biscuits with a brew mid-afternoon with an extra large curry or fish n chips for tea. Washed down with half-a-dozen cans of cheap lager or a few pints down the pub. So just a light diet really![]()
October? August over here.![]()
Enjoyed this pic very much, the expression on her eyes is pricelessHad the big 'un out today to make a snack for my apple-eating buddy. Every night at 8:45 she starts eyeballing me to let me know its time. You could set your watch to that dog.

I enjoyed the Braggot immensely. The brewery that makes it over here has a number of variations but only had a few available when I visited the pub that they were present at. The Red was delicious, the IPA tasted like an IPA... and the other offering they had was a Farmhouse Saison. I don't like Saisons so I skipped that one. They have a Stout I'd like to try and a Blonde as well.
Thank you! And the only holder I have for it presently is my hand so I have to drink up before I can get anything else done. That said, I've been meaning to at least make a tabletop holder of sorts, should make for a simple project.
I have this Lambsfoot close at hand today, as it usually is.

Sorry for the confusion DavidI haven't had my Eccles cake yet, but I'll be sure to have at least one tomorrow. I'm hoping to get a chip butty in, at least one sausage roll, a pie, and a pint of one of Marbles beers. That sounds like the Eddie Yeats diet!

I was making some soup earlier, mainly butter-nut squash, but I made it hot and spicy, lot of smoked paprika, ginger, turmeric, etc![]()

Is it Lancaster Day, yet? Thanks chaps; though you had me a little confused then.![]()
I hope you enjoyed the Eccles cake Jack. I'm going to have to grab myself some of them to.
Thank you Dennis!Indeed a beautiful knife, Ron!
Looked like a great final adventure for Linus and Ron!!![]()
That Linus was a very friendly Lambsfoot. What I’ve found typical of the breed is the more of them you have the happier you..... oops I mean, the happier they will be!Looks like Linus is developing a personal relationship with each of your other lambs foots, Ron!![]()
Wow! It's 85 degrees here. It's snowing. It's like this here at the housebut I copied this traffic cam just down the road from us.
