Yes sir. I got a 93 and REALLY wanted the Waynorth Lambfoot rather than the Ramfoot but couldn't afford to buy one at secondary prices. I took a Lansky puck and A TON of hours hand grinding away at the spine on the blade until it become what you see here.Is that a GEC reground with the canvas micarta? Who did that?
Wow that's a lot of work well doneYes sir. I got a 93 and REALLY wanted the Waynorth Lambfoot rather than the Ramfoot but couldn't afford to buy one at secondary prices. I took a Lansky puck and A TON of hours hand grinding away at the spine on the blade until it become what you see here.
It still needs a little work but all in all I'm really happy with how it turned out. And with all the time I spent working on it, I appreciate the new Lambfoot even more. This will be a knife I never part with.Wow that's a lot of work well done

Did they come wrapped in paper?Apparently oranges/tangerines/clementines have a very long traditional association with Christmas. When I was a kid, we'd get an apple, an orange, and a new penny in our stockings, but I don't know if that was just a local tradition
...
...
I also recall my dad telling me they used to get oranges/tangerines at Christmas so it must of been a tradition in Lancashire to.![]()
Here in south Texas I remember getting oranges--maybe apples, too--and nuts (walnuts, pecans, Brazil nuts, filberts, almonds)
I think the only oranges I ever ate when I was growing up were the ones we got in a bag of fruit, candy, and nuts handed to all the kids after the school Christmas program each year....
And like VincePrester John , growing up in New Mexico, we got oranges, walnuts, pecans etc... in our stockings along with a couple of small gifts.

Excellent photo of your stag Hartshead Barlow SFO, José!
Amazing video, Dan!...
Then I developed my premium secret line of bird feed LOLand now they mob us. This video was taken on a super cold day in which they were acting extra bold ...almost frantic.
I guess they needed the extra caloriesto survive.
In the middle of summer is hard sometimes to even get the chance to feed one or two (if you are lucky).
Superb lambsfoot model, Paul!Hey guardians, I have had good intentions to pop into this amazing thread but for some reason I've been sidetracked, even though this one has occupied my pocket for sometime
...
I enjoyed that Mae West/W.C. Fields trailer, Jack!...
...
After my stressful day yesterday, I got home, hoping for an easier time, but I had an 'emergency' proof-reading job come in, very tedious work, which kept me up until after 1.00amHoping for a better day today
Have a good one Guardians

Beware of Lambsfoots bearing gifts! The Extraordinary Adventures of Linus the Lambsfoot!
Linus has arrived to the Eastern Shore of Maryland!
cigarrodog took good care of him and sent him with a treat made locally - Chocolate Dipped Caramel Pretzels.
I suspect that he will get in some hunting and maybe a photo safari over the next two weeks. Today he will be an office assistant.

I'll take your haggis recommendations under advisement, Jack.Thank you Gary, the haggis pasty was tasty!I would try anything at one time, less so today, but I think you might be surprised by haggis, and since a lot of folks are wary of them, vegetarian haggis are widely available, and I have to say they're quite decent. Most of the flavour in both types is predominately oats and spices. It's Burn's Night on the 25th, so don't miss out

Thanks, John....
Great picture... Great knife... Hope you're doing well, GT.![]()
Glad to hear the job is going well. Interesting video; will you be riding a bike with some kind of space age fairing soon??The job is going really good. Here is a vid of where I work.

Jake does like basking in the sun.
Great pic of your sensational senator, GT.
Exceptional gift, Jack!...
I received this book as a Christmas gift from Geoff TweedaleSome great pics of Stan and his work
...
You've met them? There's Grumpyashell and Sleepyashell and Sneezyashell, etc.
...
Then I don't feel so "backward" for never having the delicacy; thanks for the info, Vince. Thanks, Gary.
It's a Texas thing, although some neighboring states (Oklahoma, Arkansas, e.g.) are probably familiar with it.
You're a gustatory adventurer, Vince. We draw the line at different places. I'd eat haggis. Had some at a Scottish booth in a multi-cultural festival in San Antonio once. It may not have been totally authentic--maybe no sheep's stomach or whatever they use. But I'd love to try the real thing.
Stately Senator.
...
Thanks for the additional chickadee info, Dan....
Thank you GT !
There is a great number of them at this park.
It seems to me their numbers have increased over the past few years as more folks bring them food for the winter.
Still, it must be hard to survive Canadian winters for such little creatures.
...
Thanks for appreciating my stag senator, Harvey....
5K Qs - Thank you GT. Despite what some say
, The Senator Lambs Foot is one of my favorite patterns. Yours is very elegant.

Jack, I think one of the reasons I like your stag HHB so much is that the ridges on the mark side stag remind me of the veins on the backs of my hands!
That's a wonderful photo!
Great to see you check in, Chin! Thanks very much for thinking of me Jack and Leon.
Apologies for my recent absence, I’ve just been busy with the usual round of year end social engagements, a lot of work, and a string of overseas guests to show around.
...
You certainly have had some unique lambsfoots, Joshua!Howdy Guardians! I thought I'd pop in for a spell and make the rounds. Still only one lamb in my stall, but it's just right:
...
Love the Federation Lambsfoot, John!
Bam-Ba-Lamb! Old Black Betty has a nice pair of shoes! It is a really cool place to work. I don't want to give the wrong impression, I'm just a grunt. Maybe one day they will let me test drive the rocket.
A pic of Betty from back in the day.

Love the "depth" of the blade etch in your photo, Harvey; it seems bigger than life!

That knife is ravishing!!Evening Guardians! During my hunt for the Ebony WCLF, I came across the Bone version which I bought on an impulse to hold me over temporarily. Now that I have both, I think I enjoy the bone more. The little bit of extra heft, feel of the jigging, and looks are just right. Regardless, never parting with either one.
Oh yeah, it just so happens to be a rare “S” model too.

Amazing video, Dan!My wife is a fanatic about chickadees, and I plan to show her the video, at the risk of her attempting to track you down and commit matrimony on you

My iphone is not the best for winter pics. The glare of the snow seems to affect the camera sensors. I am afraid I am stuck in this mode for the next few months .... oh well

I eat a lot of chicken myself. Had Chicken Parmigiana tonight. You can get chicken fried steak in Arkansas, for sure.![]()
You‘ll usually find it on the menu next to the redundantly-named “chicken fried chicken.” (Arkansans eat a lot of chicken; I’m surprised it’s not the state bird.
)
Here’s your first photo with just a couple tweaks I did on my iPhone.

( I can only imagine how odd this may look to non knife people ... a knife + a chickadee + lamb figurines stolen from the Nativity scene)
Jack, for a second there I though, “Is that one of your Hartshead Barlows featured on the cover?!” Then I realized it was your Hartshead Barlow on the book.Sorry, I’m a bit slow today; must be that chicken fried steak I had for lunch.
