How 'bout you?
Love it!!!
We need a clapping emoji.:thumbsup:

Glad she's ok,John! You have to worry about every little bump at that age. Glad you're close enough to take care of her!:)
Thank you, Dennis. :)
We are very lucky to still have her with us.

:D Spidey would approve!!:cool::thumbsup:
Thank you, Dennis. :)

Mmmmm, little sizzlers? :cool::thumbsup:
Jimmy Dean Pork... Yummmm. :)

Lol... Well done!!! :)

Another great addition. :)

I really enjoyed these "nerdy" posts. I like the trend.:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

In the beginning it took longer for them to come to my hand if I was holding the knife as well.
It was evident as they would just fly over to my wife's and kids hands and I had to wait longer for my chance.
They soon seemed to get over it and started coming to me with no issues.
Then I developed my premium secret line of bird feed LOL :D and now they mob us. This video was taken on a super cold day in which they were acting extra bold ...almost frantic.
I guess they needed the extra calories :) to survive.
In the middle of summer is hard sometimes to even get the chance to feed one or two (if you are lucky).

Great video! Their behaviour is very much like our Long-Tailed Tits, which will mob a feeder in a family group of about 6 or 7, then fly off again.

ATTENTION all my British friends of the "Lambfoot". Was just pottering on youtube looking for something on sharpening when i came across a clip for Lancanshire Potato & Onion Butter Pie. I have never heard of this delicacy before, but boy does it look any good. Can any of my friends from the Isles give me a report.:p:p:p.

Yip a Butter Pie is just that; an Onion and (mashed) Potato pie. There's no butter in it, other than in the pastry and maybe some in the potato. Popular in the middle and north of the county of Lancashire though these days hard to find in the south of the county. Nice with brown sauce.

But after the rotten tea, I really needed something decent to drink. Fortunately, one of my favourite pubs was just across the road, The Blue Bell :)

After a pint of Brew York brewery's Session IPA, which is brewed 100 yards down the road, and a pint of Brass Castle 'Bad Kitty' (vanilla porter), brewed a few miles away, I felt a whole lot better :)

Great shots Jack, hope you enjoyed your pints.
I can't download to Imgur at the mo, so I'll post an old shot in the Blue Bell.

Here's a knife from the same group Jack Black Jack Black and @Ramrodmb have been discussing. Mine has dark, rich, ebony but as you can see, the dummy that did the final sharpening at A. Wright managed to scratch the blade.

xuSq4Qv.jpg

That's bad Ed, but this must have been done by the dummy's apprentice! o_O This one was a sample I'd been waiting on too, and it took a lot of work before I could even get the blade open. As with the others, it was handed to me with an assurance they had all been checked

Thank you, Jack. I love how your Hartshead is aging/maturing.

Some Ebony for me today. Had a bit of a frost and a little snowfall.

Thanks a lot Dylan, I'm getting a lot of pleasure from carrying it :) That's great ebony isn't it, cool pic? :)

Hey Guardians, I am afraid there will not be any walks in nature for me today and tomorrow :D
On clear fluids, have to drink 2 liters of this awful stuff to clear the :poop: out of me
(nothing to worry, just routine testing when you hit a certain age;))

Hope it passes quickly Dan

Jack Black Jack Black - Best wishes on your dental visit.

Have fun with your mate over pints and a good movie. Your AC is just waiting for its’ special Day.

Many thanks Harvey, I enjoyed the film, though we didn't get out of the cinema until after midnight  Had a few nice beers too :)

JohnDF JohnDF - Good luck with the presentation, John.

Good Afternoon Guardians.

Looks like you're living well my friend, nice William Rodgers Lambsfoot :)

Are such strays common in your neighborhood? Very kind of you to take it in. Hopefully it doesn't eat much. If you need a home for it you could always send it to me, it's lucky you had that stuffed horse to rest it on.

LOL! :D Discarded stuffed toys seem pretty common Willie, I must come across at least one a week. I leave them on the hedge, so they can hopefully be picked up later. Bizarrely, a red and black striped stuffed cat has ended up on top of the roof of my bay window  Not sure how it got there, but I'm going to have to borrow a ladder to get it down o_O

I fell asleep when I was having my three root canals done. I mean, they recline you, dim the lights, and play soft music. Who can stay awake?

Maybe your dentist was like the one played by Steve Martin:

Yes indeed Vince, and those recliners are so comfortable. I asked the dentist if she ever took advantage of it to have a nap, but I think she thought I was crazy :D

I went to a high-school production of Little Shop of Horrors a couple of years back, it was pretty good :D

Then there's the film which did for visiting the dentist what Jaws did for deep-sea diving  :D

Your AC is looking swell my friend :)

Just arrived. So thankful to get an AC back!

Thanks Dennis :D The horsey isn't there today, so I hope it found it's way home :) It certainly wasn't coming in mine! :D Another great pic there my friend :)

Good Morning Guardians
The presentation to the school board went well. I'm glad it's over though, I dislike formal presentations.

Thanks for the info David :) It was funny seeing Bad Kitty on at The Blue Bell just after I had been saying I hadn't seen it on draught for ages :)

Good day Guardians, it was 1.30am before I got in from the cinema, and I was down the market by 7.30am  Had a good day nonetheless, lots of interesting chat, and a few minor finds, as well as a nice razor given to me by my pal, who was doing a roaring trade, despite some rather grim weather. I'm off out for a pie later :) Hope everyone is having a good day

Even I can tell that bevel is pretty shocking work. Looks like we got the last of the good stuff.
I hope the weather in Leeds was better than that picture shows. :D

Thank you Guardians !
Just back from the hospital.

Thank you, Jack. The Ebony that GEC used on these knives was some of their best - couldn't be more pleased with it.

Since we seem to be on a comic book trend... As a lad, I wasn't allowed to read comic books so for the last couple of years, my brother-in-law has been plying me with all sorts of them on my birthdays and Christmas holidays. He gave me a stack of these this last Christmas - a series of comic books based on the Death Dealer that was created by an artist that I have been a fan of for years, Frank Frazetta. Perhaps somewhat notably, Frazetta did artwork that was featured on Robert E. Howard's "Conan the Barbarian" novels as well as all sorts of other stuff.

Frazetta was a great artist. I read the Conan comic books in the early 1970's, but I may pick up one of the novels, especially if they are still using the Frazetta artwork.

I have several of the old pulpy Conan paperbacks stashed away somewhere, I need to see if any of them featured Frazetta's artwork, I can't recall if they did or not.

Not too long ago, I did add this tome to my library. Sadly, I haven't found any of Frank's work yet but it does feature a lot of prints from the '30s and '40s in it from various artists.

I would much rather have had it completely unsharpened David, you'd have to lose a LOT of steel to get rid of that ugly work

Perhaps a practice session with the slingshot? That has way more panache than a ladder.
