Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Nice Dan, is that one on the right a Chinese model? :thumbsup:
Yes, it's the Hammer Pro from GZK :thumbsup:
Mine is OTT, I believe Jon it's the same but TTF.

Today I find myself reminiscing about our wonderful trip to Prince Edward Island !

I'll be starting off with my Hartshead Barlow
What? I'm shocked. :eek::D:D:D

It snowed a good 8" last night. The wind was howling and the drifts are huge in some places on the property. I only shoveled the sidewalks and didn't plow any snow as another storm is coming and will dump another 8" or so tomorrow. Happy days!!!!
That's the price you pay for living in God's Country. ;)

Beautiful pics of the lambfoot and scenery! Yes mine is TTF, I seem to shoot a lot more accurate TTF. I love the fiber optics on the GZK slingshots.

That's good to hear Dylan :) Thank you, that tea was awful, it was in quite a fancy cafe too o_O Good to see you enjoying your Hartshead my friend, and a fine whiskey and smoke of course ;) :) :thumbsup:

Thank you, my friend.

Maybe some of the absent Guardians would be up for an Ashley's Choice day :thumbsup:

I second this motion.

Another day, another shot of the Hartshead.

Morning Guardians, hope everyone is having a good week. I'm not sure if we are expecting a Royal visit locally, or something, but for the second week in a row, I got woken up at 6.00am by the street-cleaners o_O Not just some old feller whistling with a brush, but a team of guys with leaf-blowers, and several very noisy vehicles with flashing lights, the largest of which was bigger than a tank! They are still at it 2 1/2 hours later, and now it's time to get the digger out of the large container, which is still opposite my house :mad: This used to be a quiet neighbourhood o_O Where's my darn stick! :grumpy:

I'm about to head out to the dentists, but I'll be back later to catch up :) Have a good day Guardians :thumbsup:

After all that, I needed pleasant thoughts so I'm posting my picture of my "Big-un" with Buffalo Horn covers taken in the balmy sunshine with sea shells.

I'm glad you're pleased with it after all your careful work Mark :) It's supposed to be musical-grade ebony from a bagpipe maker Mark. I was told it would be jet-black, but was disappointed with the wood on most of the knives. I dare say it will darken with use and/or the application of some oil though. Blade-centring is something I have always insisted upon with Wright's, and as you say, it's very easy to get right, or to correct if necessary, the sort of task an experienced cutler could probably do in a minute. The mistake I made with these was accepting they had already been thoroughly checked when I picked them up from the factory, having thought I'd built up that sort of trust, as I think I had with the previous administration, but in that regard QC is the least of it :( It's good to hear your observations and thoughts on it Mark, and that's a great pic :) Have a fantastic Sunday my friend :thumbsup:

Thanks Jack, I'm very pleased with it. The mark side Ebony has some very light gray, almost white, tiny little streaks in it that make it appear lighter but still very attractive, IMO. The pile side is pretty dark and as you mention, a little time and use will further darken, I'm sure.;)
I had a fantastic Sunday, thanks and hope yours was just as good.:thumbsup:

Jack Black Jack Black - Thank you Jack. Cheers to you and the hard to come by Stingo. Fine assortment of images. I think of robotic automation as unavoidable as the Industrial Revolution. Whole swathes of the population will need to figure out how to survive. We’ll(or you all) will see how accurate the prognostication for new job creation is. Heaven help us. And that’s not even taking the Sigularity into account.:eek:

@r8shell - Thank you Rachel. It was perfect. I’ve always admired your Ebony Big ún.

Ramrodmb Ramrodmb - Thank you Mark. Ari’s a trooper, an all weather companion. A bit of rain did nothing to dampen his spirit. Your pair of Lamb Foot Image is incredibly fine.

JohnDF JohnDF - Very Happy to hear your Mother is all right. I hear you when you can’t be too careful at 97. In this instance, “All’s well that ends well.” Your Ebony WCLF is as spectacular as the image.:thumbsup:

@E40 - Looks like Linus is off to a fine start, Fred.

Good Afternoon Guardians.

Welcome back, Mark, and congrats on the new ebony lambsfoot! :cool::cool::thumbsup: You've got it looking fantastic! (I don't think I have the nerve to try that blade-centering procedure. :eek:)
..........
Lovely pair, Mark! :cool::thumbsup::thumbsup:

Thanks, Gary for the nice words. Centering the blades was easier than expected although a bit unnerving whacking it with a hammer but everything went fine.;)

Thank you, Gary. Jake is good lookin' annnnd a hard worker. He would make a good catch for any single lady Lambsfoot.
;):D:p

All you Guardians, have a great week.

A recycled pic because everone likes Lambsfoot pics. :D
