Very handsome Taylor :)

Morning Guardians, and thanks for reminding me it's Friday the 13th @Prester John ;) Be careful out there gang! :) The sun is out at the moment here, but I have quite a bit of stuff I need to do in the house. I hate it when works gets in the way of my life! :D I got another slingshot in the post yesterday, fitted it with tubes, but finding them a lot stiffer than usual, feels like I had a work-out last night! ;) I'm not sure why it's called the Dark Destroyer, which was the fighting nickname of British boxer Nigel Benn, but it seems kind of appropriate :D Sticking with my trusty Hartshead Barlow today :) Have a good day Guardians, the weekend is almost here :)

It's called the Dark Destroyer because it destroyed the dark part of your target.:thumbsup:

LOL! :D The tubes are so strong, and possibly a little short for me (I'm going to replace them), that I put on a pair of safety glasses over my specs, as I didn't want to fumble the slingshot, and get hit in the face by it. I hadn't worn them before, and my vision was absolutely rubbish, I was surprised I could hit the target. After a while, I realised my vision was bad because I still had my reading glasses on from where I had been adding the tubes! :D

Good Morning Guardians
Recycled pic of the day is of my Hartshead Barlow
It is one of three knives that I refuse to use and will keep in pristine condition

It does look good John :)

As ever Jack, could have been matched better but the rest isn't too bad as they go, lovely finish, a pretty strong pull though.

While I'm not sure it's even a consideration, matching the wood is probably pretty difficult because of the way the knives are made. with the scales being fixed onto the knife in roughly-shaped blocks, which are then ground to shape.

Hope the pull eases up a bit for you Tim, have you flushed out the joint, there's usually all sorts of detritus in there?

Yes, a definite improvement, but full checkering would be even better.

Sorry for duplicating my questions Jeff, here and in the EDC thread. I'll re-post my last comment below

"Yes, perhaps, checkered ebony looks really good too. I don't know if anyone else does it here, apart from @glennbad, but maybe it is worth asking in the knifemaker's forum?"
