That's a smasher Ron :)

Bright sunny day here, if a little windy (we did a little rain too), and I have spent some time out in the garden, first proofing a new windproof jacket I bought recently, and then dragging litter out of my blackberry patch

I had to get Rosie out for a little quality time this morning... I was getting dirty looks from the night stand. No pocket time, no cutting duty, but I find handling a wood handled knife therapeutic.

Edited, sorry guys I just noticed that some of my phrasing could be misconstrued...

I LOVE that shirt GT! Of course, also a fan of Valley Jack ;)
That background is great!
...
Love the Ironwood Lamb Foot and T-shirt image, GT.
...
Cool photo Gary :D

That t-shirt is cracking! :D
And the lambsfoot's not to shabby either.

Mike, John, Harvey, Jack, and David, thanks for expressing your approval of my pic of Valley Jack on one of my wife's knitting t-shirts. :) There's actually a slogan on the shirt above the lamb that advises "Know Your Cuts of Lamb", but the knife is too small if I zoom out to include the slogan in the photo. With my wife's interest in all sorts of fibrous pursuits (knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, embroidering, probably other things for which I don't even know a name), there are all sorts of ovine-related objects around the house I could probably use in lambsfoot pictures.

Harvey, thanks for the link the the First Edition hit. I could sing the first verse on my own, but having the recording was very helpful for subsequent verses. When I was a college freshman, in the spring of 1970, some friends and I had an elaborate plan to sneak into a Kenny Rogers and the First Edition concert at the college fieldhouse by hiding in a little HVAC room up a steel ladder and over a catwalk until the building had been cleared and the concert started, at which time we planned to casually emerge and saunter into the main arena. It failed miserably as security staff kept coming into the room below us every time we thought "the coast was clear".

Valley Jack again:

G'day Guardians! I took a few months hiatus from BF to reset myself from the constant mania of buying knives, and to focus on enjoying the ones that I have. Happy to report that I'm enjoying my line up much more now, and spending at least a little time with many of them.

Also happy to report that Jelly is still one of my favorites, and I finally got an edge on it that I'm happy with! Unfortunately it did take a small tumble (as many of my knives eventually do), but all seems well beyond the small chip at the butt.

Have a great day everyone!

Your HHB looking good in the sunshine. Here in North Carolina we have temperatures approaching 80 degrees F. Spring is in full throttle. Our Confederate Jasmine in the background is really taking off.

Well guys and gals, I'm back after my cancer surgery. I was in the hospital in Portland, Oregon for two weeks and at the Swing Bed facility at our local hospital here in our town for a week. I'm still fairly weak but wanted to check in. I'll post in the future when I can.

Here I am two-days post-op displaying my usual effervescent personality. Sone of you may be asking; "What has that boy got tied to his head"? It's an ice pack - my best friend for my stay in the hospital. That thing coming out of my nose is my feeding tube.

A big decision I had to make when going for surgery was - What knife to take? I decided on this
I decided on this Standard Lambfoot with Buffalo Horn cover that was gifted to me by Jack Black Jack Black . Of course I couldn't carry it on me so, the wife carried it in her purse for me.

I didn't check this post out for spelling/grammar as I'm pretty much worn out from putting the post together. Good to be bak - I'll be talking - errrrrrrr, typing to everyone later.

ED, Great to see you back for a check in, been wondering how you are getting along. Keep pushing forward and check in when you're able.

Get well soon Mark !
Best wishes

Sorry to hear you're ill Mark, I hope you're feeling better soon my friend  From when I was a kid, and well into adulthood, most doctor's surgeries here had only one doctor (probably the guy who delivered you). If you were ill, you called in, made an appointment, and sat down reading the 'Reader's Digest' until you were called. Half an hour would have been considered a long wait. Now, you wait so long, people die waiting for a doctor's appointment

Great to see Linus :)

LOL! :D

Rosie is developing some great character Willie, nothing a Lambsfoot loves more than being used ;)

I'm on my own tomorrow, and I'm thinking about heading out for some breakfast, then a walk in the woods, with a couple of slingshots in my bag, and my Hartshead Barlow in my pocket of course ;) Have a great weekend Guardians

Hope you are feeling better, Mark!!

Jack Black Jack Black I hope you are OK!! Routine checkups are OK, but 7 weeks is not!!

Jack Black Jack Black - Thank you Jack. That street library is great idea. Your Hartshead “catching rays” looks Fab. Sorry to hear your MD woes. I’m old enough to remember our Doctor making house calls. Have fun tomorrow slinging shots. Cheers.

Ramrodmb Ramrodmb - Happy to hear that you’re feeling better, Mark. May your recovery hasten.

Good Evening Guardians.

I'm afraid Linus' adventure has been less than extraordinary with me these past days/weeks.
