Thanks, Jack. Mostly at home. Went to butcher's and liquor store for some essentials. Grilling hamburgers for dinner in a little while. How things can change in a short time! Take it easy yourself.
Sounds like the makings of a nice evening Vince

A new arrival with a trusty adventure pal. Looking forward to doing some reading this rainy day.
Great pic Greg, I hope that it as interesting as it looks, nice-looking journal
Oh was there now? Well I missed that shop. Saying that when I was there in the winter it was probably closed. Come the summer time, if were all still not dodging drones, I may take a another trip over to Eyam. If ever your over there again try and catch the Three Stags Heads pub at Wardlow Mires and a pint of their Black Lurcher ale.
Yeah, could be seasonal David, though thinking back, it's actually about 2 1/2 years since I was there. It was popular on the day though, and they had an excellent range of beers at very reasonable prices (though I suppose everywhere is reasonable compared to Leeds). There's a place next door which sells blacksmithy tat, some of it is cast, but there's a lot of forged stuff too, and some quite nice stuff. I went straight to The Three Stags heads after, and had a pint of Black Lurcher!

I don't get there that often, but it's one of my favourite old pubs

Even, if their car-park is strangely overrun by semi-wild guinea-pigs
Aye one of my best mates is Barnsley born and bred and they say their a law unto themselves round those parts.
They ARE!
Aye but with it being an ex-Provo club I bet a fair few folk did.
I hope you've still got those medals.
I'm afraid I haven't David, they were stolen about 25 years ago, along with a huge amount of other stuff

They were just the Pip, Squeak, Wilfred, but also the large medal/plaque commemorating his death
In olden days I'm sure "going to the fair" was a euphemism for a young woman getting pregnant.
I dare say mate

I like those old euphemisms, which often sound so innocent. In the olden days in Sheffield, folks would refer to being 'under the clock' as a euphemism for being locked up (usually for debt or drunkenness) in the cells beneath the Town Hall. Since Leeds magistate's court was still in Leeds Town Hall until relatively recent times, it's a phrase I sometimes still hear here
Never been on a diet but a couple of summers back I inadvertently reduced my bread intake. Even though I wasn't that active at the time either the weight just dropped off me.
That's because you're a youngster David!
Morning Guardians, I'm a little late posting today, as people keep ringing me!

I started this post ages ago

I hope everyone, is doing alright, and not be-friending basket-balls yet

I still have plenty to do here, but miss being able to get out and about. Take care, stay safe, and enjoy your Sunday
