Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Big'un has been traveling around with me for a while now, and proving very useful. That sharp point scores an orange peel nicely, making is a pleasure to peel!
As I get over this miserable cold:(, it's not working too hard.
Here, I'm cutting out my beloved daily crossword puzzles, and sudoku!
The seam in the table is a built-in guide!!:)

Who needs scissors when you have a good knife and a table guide. :)

My father always cut out articles with a sharp knife. I guess I picked up the habit!!
Easier to carry than scissors!!

Hope you feel better soon Charlie. I love your table guillotine!

Thanks sitflyer!!
That little exercise is also a test of a knife's edge! It's gotta be sharp to cut that flimsy paper cleanly!! Over many years, I haven't even scratched that 45 year-old table! Not with my knife anyway!

Many happy returns, Rachel!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY R8SHELL!
:D:D:D Thanks!

That must have been a very large Omelet my friend !! You Stag looks right at home in the kitchen !!!

Harry
Actually it was a skillet full! I cooked up the veggies some then added 6 eggs and some cheese! ;) Flipped that bad boy into a half moon just like a pro! :D I cut it in thirds, one for Pam and two for me along with two cups of strong coffee and I was good to go until the 2nd playoff game started! :p Oh yeah, that big Lambsfoot was slicing and dicing!

For dinner tonight we had pork tenderloin. My wife is on the Keto diet so we had to do the loin 2 ways. The upper one is pork tenderloin encrusted is herbs and spices with roasted walnuts. The lower one is mine the one she can’t eat due to the sugars. It’s a sweet and very spicy rub of mine that I usually use for smoking but it caramelized well in the oven. Had to use the lambsfoot to cut a few nibbles off after dinner.

I received my first Lambsfoot in the mail today compliments of mrknife. :) I love the horn handles and blade shape and it feels right at home in my large hand. Thanks Jack, I truly appreciate your generosity. I will put it to good use my friend.

Awesome gift! The lambsfoot is a knife that has earned its spot in my pocket everyday since I spoke to Jack Black Jack Black about them. He basically told me I wouldn’t be disappointed and he was so right. Enjoy the most generous gift and do as the card says join us here it’s a great place with even better knives and people. So welcome to the Guardians of the lambsfoot thread.

Ps Great looking knife.

Happy Birthday, Rachel!:thumbsup::cool::)

Wow, that looks delicious, Keith. Great to see that patina taking hold on your Guardians users as well.:)

Very generous of you once again Jack/mrknife, and it's great to see you over here, GasMan1!:) Your pics are always some of my favourites over in Gev's Just A Picture thread, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing them here, too.:thumbsup: I'm also interested to hear your thoughts on how the knife handles, after using it for a while.

I hope everyone who's experiencing unseasonably intense cold weather at the moment is managing to stay warm.

We're at the opposite end of the temperature spectrum at the moment, with today being the first mild day in a run of blazing hot weather. Up north in parts of Sydney, it reached 47.3C/117F a couple of days ago!

Hey Cambertree Cambertree the knife looks great, what’s hanging out or the slip in the picture? Also stay cool at 117F that knife might just melt in your pocket.:p

Thanks Keith.:) It’s a copper AAA flashlight, made by a small machining shop out of Phoenix Arizona, called Peak LED Solutions. The model is the Eiger. I’ve found it to be an excellent tool. If anyone’s interested in more info, PM me.;)

I should also mention considering this heat, that I’ve had practically no dimensional change on my two A. Wright horn covered Lambsfoot knives.

I can just feel a slight rise when I run my thumb over the bolster/cover scale joint of my golden ox-horn Lambsfoot, but all the pins and liners are still flush.

My Guardians Lambsfoot is basically as flush in all the cover scale joints as when it arrived.

I’ve gotten in the habit that when I have some mineral oil excess from oiling a particular knife, I wipe it off onto the horn knives. So they get a little oil maybe once every couple of weeks at least, and it seems to work well. I took up your recommendation on coconut oil, too Keith, and it also seems to work well, with the added bonus of being a pleasant scented, food grade plant oil.
