Yeah food or lack of can be killer. That’s part of the reason oliver brown Cafe went under had no proper kitchen and there is at least 4 others in the centre where you cam have a sit down meal. Thanks mate, Hisham (Moroccan/Sicilian) is the same, every cup is superbYes, that's true. At least the food prices can't get any HIGHER, because they're far too high as it is, and Hisham's main concern is that a large, well-known, budget British bakery chain is due to open.a branch just down the road. Currently, he has no real competition. Folks come for the coffee, but his food sales have declined. This isn't surprising, because the food is mediocre, slow to arrive, and expensive for what it is. He really needs to hire someone who can cook, start selling better food, and drop his prices
I'm glad you have the word Mitch, I think those would be called a Scottish Pancake here, though I've not had those since I was a little boy. In Sheffield, pikelet is used as a friendly insult for being daft (eg 'Stop being a pikelet!' Or 'The lad is no pikelet!'). You probably don't hear it much anymore sadly
Congratulations to you and the family Bob!That cane is gorgeous, you are very generous

Thanks Steve, I'm glad to hear yours is OKThat's great Jack ! I was a bit worried that my BP was getting on the elevated side. I've been taking it a few times a day for a couple of weeks now and I'm happy to say it's perfectly normal. My reading this morning was 117 over 72.
Thanks pal !
Nice to see Diego JeffDecided to give Berry a rest and put Diego back in pocket.

Gidget is a great-looking Lamb Steve
The staff situation must be worse than I thought Mitch, it's true that Hisham really struggles to find staff, and apart from his sister-in-law, Sara, the others are useless, both in the kitchen, and behind the counter. I'd take some of that lasagne and pea and ham soup anytime mate!Yeah food or lack of can be killer. That’s part of the reason oliver brown Cafe went under had no proper kitchen and there is at least 4 others in the centre where you cam have a sit down meal.
Hisham is probably like everywhere and can't get staff.
Kristy sells a bit of take away meals has regulars that will buy 3 or 4 pieces of lasagne for evening meals. I reckon you would have liked last week's special of pea and ham soup.
Looking good David
I hope it's sorted for you soon Mitch. My internet connection is still up and down, and I'm thinking of getting another providerHaven't been able to post pics yet, it's playing up.
On side note.
Anyone heard from Dwight?

I have an extra day off today. I'll mow the backyard at 8 am. It's going to be another dangerously hot day. Mercifully, much of the lawn is too parched to need mowing, so I can cheat a bit.
Funny how fast we can go from drenched to parched, unless I'm not paying enough attention to notice that it isn't that fast.
Thanks! Maybe I'll lunch at the pub, where they keep it cold enough to preserve meat.Enjoy your day off Jer.
To help you remember what winter is like? Thanks! Maybe I'll lunch at the pub, where they keep it cold enough to preserve meat.

Glad you got some rain Bob. I hope the humidity isn’t too bad. That’s a fine Cosimo lamb. I’ve always lived in CA so I have no clue really what heat and humidity is like. I think the insects in some states would bother me. I’ve heard stories of the bugs in Texas and Florida. I’d have to carry a can of Raid around I guess.Good day all. Finally a day of rain!
Maybe I can finish Operation Underworld. An interesting story of the Mafia's role in WW ll.
This new weather experience is a challenge. I have spent most of my life on the Atlantic shore.Glad you got some rain Bob. I hope the humidity isn’t too bad. That’s a fine Cosimo lamb. Operation Underworld sounds like an interesting read. I’m listening to a History On Fire podcast about Lucky Luciano, the NY docks and WW2.
Congratulations, Bob! Wonderful news.We just found out another grandchild is on the way!
Thanks kindly Dave.Congratulations, Bob! Wonderful news.
