Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Half/Stop Half/Stop - Your evening meal is enticing.

Jack Black Jack Black - Thank you Jack. The near riot sounds like an interesting story. I predict many more such occurrences as this event continues. Better keep that slingshot close at hand.:D Cheers! Hartshead looking good! Your light supper makes for a fine image.

@donn - Thank you David. Joy is definitely beers and bbq as expertly demonstrated by your outdoor dining image.

@WhittlinAway - Fine Snack and Lamb image, Greg.

Half/Stop Half/Stop - Your Humphreys Radiant Lamb is glorious, Ron.

Fodderwing Fodderwing - That’s a fine collection of Lamb, Dwight, nicely arranged.

Good Afternoon Guardians.

At my request, the wife is fixing a pork roast in the slow cooker with all the trimmings. When it is cooked, it will be "fall off the bone" tender and when she shreds the roast and I cut some of it in smallish pieces, I'll be able to eat some along with mashed veggies that are in the cooker. We're having mashed potatoes and gravy and I'll be able to eat some of that too.

But guess what. My main meal tonight will come from "the Bag".

So lovely! Yes, she needs to come out more often.

And, wishing you the same.

Just checking in with a quick snack before heading out to mow the lawn.

First time trying this seasoning:

H3QsUYmh.jpg

It's got some very pleasant heat to it. :)
Thanks for the compliment Greg! Good looking Lambsfoot and snack! I’ve had the Peri-Peri seasonings before. There’s a restaurant chain called “Nandos”. Peri-Peri is their specialty. There is one close to my daughters. We eat there often. They got varying degrees of heat from mild to raise the lid if you know what I mean. You can order from them on line. :)

Thanks for the compliments Harvey. The food was delicious. We baked the leftovers tonight (no photo) and now we’ll freeze two more meals from the baked spaghetti. :) The Humphreys Radiant is a wonderful Lambsfoot and I’m proud to have it in my collection. You’ve got a beautiful Joseph Rodgers there my friend and you got it at a steal on top of that!

The man who wrote the book, True Grit, was born in my home town. His name was Charles Portis and he just passed away in February. The movie with John Wayne is excellent!

I enjoy Charles Portis’ writing. I hadn’t heard that he passed. :(

Considering I woke up at 3, I haven't been very hungry today. Just had something light to eat tonight

Looks good, Jack. How was that Secret Aardvark with it?

Hello Guardians !
We came across this beautiful wreath someone had hang in the forest.
I am not sure if it has any special meaning. I searched a bit online and some people make them in the fall to decorate their homes.
Perhaps this one survived all winter ? .... it looked very nice !

Ron, I’m a big fan of Nando’s.  I know there are a few locations here in the US, but I’ve only ever eaten there while we were visiting my brother in England.

We love Nando’s. There is a bunch of their restaurants in DC and Maryland. There is also a bunch in Illinois, that might be your closest ones. Y’all stay safe Barrett! :)

A couple of pages back I posted a pic of my ebony lambsfoot with my youngest daughter's violin as part of the musical instruments theme happening lately. My oldest daughter plays the piano.
With their permission :) , here is a video of them playing Kol Nidrei about a year ago at their teacher's recital.

First some lambsfoot content :)

You can bet your lunch that I would carry that sucker almost every day that ends with a "Y " . Or maybe TEW in the RFP and Humphrey in the LFP . It even looks better than I remembered it my friend . Nice photo of it too . You will not be able to use it someday Ron and then you might regret not using it .
Mine is in my pocket right now . Used it today .

Thanks pal.

Very nice grouping Dwight!
Thanks Ron.

Well your young lady has some talent; I thought it was real at first.
Thank you David. I will let her know.

That's a great family there. What are the covers on the one at 7o'clock?
Thank you kindly David. The covers are stabilized dyed curly maple done by Glennbad the Great.

That’s a fine collection of Lamb, Dwight, nicely arranged.
Thank you my friend. The Joseph Rodgers covers are incredible.

Life's not fair sometimes but it sure can give you a chuckle sometimes.
Tough Hombre. I'm sure glad you're improving so well.

Old Engineer Old Engineer - Harry I love that old TEW!

I'm posting this later than all the cool kids did, but that's what happens when I successfully flatten the curve. A flock of lambs gathered on the patio:

Thanks Harry! You’re pretty convincing my friend! ;) I’m thinking about it, well maybe a couple of days each week! Maybe..... :D

Sorry if I've missed some posts or my replies are somewhat anorexic, haven't been feeling myself lately.

A good, comfortable pair of shoes and a good knife...sure makes the outdoors even more pleasant. Nice photo, Gary.
Big'un ala Glennbad.

Stunning covers and stunning photo, Dwight!
Couple of beautiful dulcimers you have there! And the HHB ain't too bad, either!
Thanks, Matt! I love the droning sound, and just fun to play.
Beautiful Trio and fine image, Dennis.
Thank you so kindly, Harvey!
That’s a great photo my friend! :)
Thank you very much, Ron!
I wanna see the knife that came in that tube. ;)
:D
It was the tube in the middle of a roll of weed barrier we were laying down...he decided to help!
excellent photos my friend, what do you call those instruments pictured with your Hartshead Barlow?
Thank you very much, Jack! They are called Dulcimer's, an instrument that came about with folks in the Appalachian and Ozark mountains. Quite a fun and pleasant instrument to play.
Good Morning Guardians
and Happy Good Friday to you all.
Looking good, John!
How do you like the ceramic blade?
This is my flock to date.:)
Nice looking flock, José!
There's a lot more lambs foots that need our Guardians efforts than I realized!

It's back today! :D

Dead-eye Jack, indeed!:eek::thumbsup:
Great looking fist full of fun!
Good Morning Guardians

Last night was fun. We hung out with a couple of friends at their place.
They own a horse boarding stable, so it was nice to be around horses again.
We basically just hung out around the fire pit and had good conversation, keeping our social distance of course.

Also had a chance yesterday to experiment with another slip pattern...
Awsome, John! I can smell the horses now!!
Nothing more relaxing than a fire and friends!
More great looking leatherworking, maybe a back pocket slip?

Hope everyone is having a good day. The weather here in Pensacola is gorgeous. It’s a shame everyone has to keep apart, but at least we can all go outside.
Nice photo, Joshua! I was stationed in Orlando for a bit, loved being able to play beach volleyball even in the winter.

Another great one, Dwight!
An incredible herd...definitely!
I supplement my bag food with high protein smoothies, so this past week, I rounded up part of my herd to slice apples, oranges, bananas, avocados, etc.. Anyway, I've got a nice patina developing on them. Charlie's WCLF is starting to come along nicely as are the two Hartshead Barlows. As the patinas darken, I'll post updates on them.

All the flock looking top notch, Ed!
Great bunch of Lambsfoot knives there Ed :) Here's to your very good health :)

I love it when I come across unusual works of art in the woods Dan, as happens sometimes :) I've never seen one of those before, very interesting  Great pics

Jack Black Jack Black thanks! I’m glad the weather is good there as well. I’ve been outside sanding some wood into swords for my boys and trying out a new buffing attachment for my cordless drill. Now I’m sitting in the shade overseeing one of my boys as he mows our elderly neighbor’s yard.

Thank you Joshua, that sounds like a rewarding way to spend an afternoon :) Nice to see your son helping out, I used to really enjoy that kind of physical labour as a boy, made me feel a bit grown-up I guess. I used to help out a couple of old ladies, but their lawns were small, and they didn't have lawnmowers, so I used to cut the grass with a sickle. Funny, now, to think of a time when the sight of a boy walking down the street with a sickle would not raise an eyebrow  Enjoy the rest of the weekend my friend

Thanks Jack! The $20 I spent on my Humphreys was the best money I’ve ever spent on the auction site! :D Yes sir! I definitely remember all the debates on the carry and caliber choices Jack! I really didn’t get into much debate personally. All my 1911’s are .45 except for one Delta Elite which is of course 10mm. When I carry for self defense it’s always condition 1. Now on the 9mm discussion, my favorite is hands down another traditional, the Browning High Power. One I’m sure the British are quite familiar with! ;) Your Hartshead is developing some enviable patina my friend! :)

That’s a great looking meal Jack! I’m glad you’re enjoying your day my friend! :D

What a bargain Ron, makes it all the sweeter :D I'm very familiar with the Hi-Power Ron, had one for over a year when I lived in the Middle East :) There wasn't anywhere near as much debate over here Ron, most shooters were more concerned about having to repair their back-stops than knock-down! :D Thanks pal

So a mini bbq. 4 burgers cooked that I doubled up on two baps. 2 fine. 2 underdone. Ate them anyway so I guess I'm going to find out just how sturdy my stomach still is. :D

I hope everyone is having a good Saturday.

Hope you're feeling OK David, nice pic my friend :)

Starting some baguettes.

Your baguettes always look delicious Dave :) I bet they are too ;)

Hmmm... might be better if it's slingshots then beer? ;)

It's good you got to socialize with some people for a little but.
Hope you had a good day and Happy Easter tomorrow.:thumbsup:

Thank you, David. :)

Thanks John, some really nice people on my street, I think I am lucky in that respect :) Thank you, and the same to you my friend :)

Jack Black Jack Black - Thank you Jack. The near riot sounds like an interesting story. I predict many more such occurrences as this event continues. Better keep that slingshot close at hand.:D Cheers! Hartshead looking good! Your light supper makes for a fine image.
