Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Going to give my new Lambsfoot a ride in my pocket today. Thanks again, Jack!
I took this pic earlier today with some appropriate coins.

Great to see you and your Lambsfoot here Gary, hope you have fun together today :)

Great pics folks, I've been enjoying all the scenes Lambsfoots have been landing in lately.:)

Hope you're all having a good weekend Lambsfooters :) I've been carrying the old Alfred Blackwell Rob gifted me again today, along with this Snakewood model I've barely carried  I was hoping to get some more pics, but it hasn't stopped raining all day :(

What a fine gift from Rob, and a great Alfred Blackwell example.:cool: I'm guessing the liner scales are steel? Would you mind showing us the backspring, and blade well sides, Jack, if it's not too much trouble?

Carrying my Unity today

Very nice mate, is that a Unity box of flatware? Great find.

JR in winter. Trees are white because snow started falling this morning. View attachment 842777

JP, this is a Lambsfoot variant which is available locally here, too. It has a very clean, classic look, IMO, like the bike.:cool: I quite like the look of that bolster stamp too.:)

Lovely pic Ron, really captures the horn well :) LOL! I enjoy two strong cups a day my friend, much more than that, and I get a bit giddy!:D

Thanks for those extra pics, Jack. A lovely knife.:) What a colour on the bone covers, too.

Ah that's a pity, but an interesting box nonetheless. I look forward to hearing more about the Community Plate manufacturing.;) That's very thoughtful of you, my friend.:cool:

Beautiful colours in your pics there

OK, Gaurdians, I’m ready to play.
I had been seriously contemplating a Lambsfoot for a couple of years, but had never pulled the trigger - mostly being hesitant about ordering from unknown source. But about a week ago, one came up on the exchange, and I could resist no longer.

In anticipation of its arrival from across the pond, I read through most of this thread. I have very much enjoyed the history lessons, the enthusiasm, and, of course, the pictures throughout this immaculately maintained thread.

Here are some pics of the recent arrival, though I found the depth of the horn really difficult to photograph - a sentiment that seems to have been echoed throughout this thread. My plan is to carry it for the rest of the week, and report back with my thoughts.

This file work!

The scales match really well, smooth long-pull, file work, and a super slice-y blade make for a great knife.

Not sure if I should use it or keep it to look at...J/K, I’m gonna use it often.

Good to see you here my friend, welcome to The Guardians :) That's a darn nice Lambsfoot, the only one Wright's did out of that batch of Sambar I believe :)

Cheers,

You too Mike, great to have you here, and look forward to hearing how you find your first Lambsfoot :) Yep, it's a struggle to capture the real beauty of that horn! That looks pretty good though :)

Welcome to our new Guardians

Thank you Jack. That’s the arm of a leather sofa in my daughters town home. I thought the color might make a good contrast with the Horn.

Nice one, Mike!! I also look forward to your report on the first Lambsfoot in your pocket!!
You have also reminded me that I haven't reported on Big'un for a while!
It has been in my pocket for quite a while now, and almost exclusively doing everything for me a pocket knife should do, while keeping a great edge!
Here it is, sporting a fresh stropping!! I have a project in mind for this knife, and will get back to you soon!

Great to see your Big 'un Charlie, and to hear that it is performing well :) The blade has taken on a nice grey patina now

I'm carrying my 2017 Guardians Lambsfoot today, hope everyone is having a good week
