Monday a beautiful horn Big'un showed up in the mailbox. Will post pix when I get some decent light, I've been under the weather and unpacking from a dive trip, seeing the beautiful horn and shiny new blade on my second Labmsfoot put a bright spot on my spirits and mood.
Today, I sit with the Guardians!

The scales match really well, smooth long-pull, file work, and a super slice-y blade make for a great knife.
Not sure if I should use it or keep it to look at...J/K, I’m gonna use it often.
OK, Gaurdians, I’m ready to play.
I had been seriously contemplating a Lambsfoot for a couple of years, but had never pulled the trigger - mostly being hesitant about ordering from unknown source. But about a week ago, one came up on the exchange, and I could resist no longer.
In anticipation of its arrival from across the pond, I read through most of this thread. I have very much enjoyed the history lessons, the enthusiasm, and, of course, the pictures throughout this immaculately maintained thread.
Here are some pics of the recent arrival, though I found the depth of the horn really difficult to photograph - a sentiment that seems to have been echoed throughout this thread. My plan is to carry it for the rest of the week, and report back with my thoughts.

Cheers,
I am looking forward to hearing more thoughts from you fellas as you get more familiar with the blades.
I am carrying this one today. I find the pile side to be more attractive than the mark side, so it gets photographed the most often...

Thank you, Jack. I always enjoy seeing your ebony as well, my friend.
I switched the ebony out for some beautiful horn today.

I always read this thread enthusiastically, and while I walk to and from bus stops, I often think about items to post here. But I seldom seem to find the time/energy to actually post the items I've considered!
For now, I've subcontracted most of my Guardian duties to one of my minions. Here is a K9 guardian of my rosewood lambsfoot; Gandalf the Guardian:

Made a switch last night, so this is my knife for a few. The more I use it, the more I like it.
Last night’s dinner. I washed it afterwards, but no patina.

WelcomeNature Boy and
HST . It’s great to have more folks discovering what a treat a Lambsfoot is to carry and use.
Once you get a nice edge on it, cardboard boxes—even a big pile of ‘em—are no match.

Bravo!!!Guardians, I've been admiring your fine knives for a while, and I finally post to ask for consideration for Guardianhood. May I present to you my latest work, and a rare one, being 1 of only 1 ever produced: a GEC produced, Welsh (that's me) ground #15 Lambfoot knife with a 440C blade.

I gave the spine as much downturn as I could and still open the knife without widening the EO notch, since I had to loose the nail nick.
