Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I just made this photo this morning. It’s not bad, but it looks just like a lot of the recent photos of this 2018 Ebony Guardians Lambsfoot. I think I need a new background! I’ll add that to my “To Do” list! ;) Y’all stay safe out there! :)

Thanks Jack. The food was great and you can never go wrong with a Rosewood big ’un! I actually had a toast and jam with my bacon and boiled eggs this morning! :D

Very nice Ron :) I had some fresh raspberries and granola on the side ;)

Looks fantastic my friend :) I am always looking round for new backgrounds, but most of my indoor pics get taken in the same spot because of the light

I taking some time to catch up with a few posts. I’m guilty sometimes I really move through the thread faster than I should! ;)

That looked like the perfect day for a Yorkshire ramble Jack. Great pics!

Just been gardening for my mum today.

A Rosewood big ‘un makes a great gardening companion David! :)

Terrific Snakewood Harvey!

Good morning Guardians. Another sunny morning but hot and muggy. When I went outside to take this photo the camera lens fogged up. Not surprising as all my windows are coated with condensate....like I said "muggy" is the word for outside today. Managed to clean it relatively well and take this shot of my HHB.

There’s been a lot of “Muggy” around here lately Bill! :( Always great to see your Hartshead my friend! :)

Good Morning Guardians
May good fortune shine on you all.

Bet you can't guess what I had for dinner.
“Discriminating Minds” always carry a Lambsfoot John! ;) :D

Fresh raspberries and granola sounds great Jack! I’m the same my friend. All of my indoor photos are taken in the same spot! I do need to add some variety to my backgrounds! :)

I always think of 'Muggy' as a real old-fashioned Yorkshire word! Clearly not :D

Good Morning Guardians and anyone else looking in.

The A. Wright Lambfoot, having been recovered by American Cutler Jason @Signalprick with striking "Snakewood", poses with it's American Citizenship Papers - errrrrrrrrrrrrr Coin.

Cool pic Ed  Your re-covered Lambsfoot is a real Yankee Doodle Dandy ;) :D

Great to hear Chuck :) I don't recall many folks who, having tried it, don't take to the Lambsfoot

Hard to resist the pull of the Big 'Un, especially with that swell breakfast, Jack.

Thank you Ron. Your Guardian Ebony Lamb Foot is fine looking, no matter the background

Good Afternoon Guardians

Thanks Harvey :) That's a great pic of your IXL my friend :)

I've been catching up with a few jobs in the house today, and the furthest I've been is the bottle-bank! :D I did have a nice long chat with my neighbour though :) It's market day tomorrow, but I'm intending to go down a bit later than usual, as I'm going to stay down there with my pal until he shuts up his stall, and then he's giving me a lift back with the pillar drill I bought from him last week. Tonight, I've got a couple of new beers from my local Saltaire brewery :) Hope everyone is having a good day

Had to Google pillar drill LoL... never heard that term before :) So, that thing out in my shed is a pillar drill, thanks for clearing that up my friend.

Hey Duane!! It's great to see you back brother! :) The one I bought last week is an old one, no electric, just hand operation. I'm not sure it'll see a lot of use, but will be handy when I do need it :) How have you been keeping?

I don’t know where the term originated Jack. Around here it refers to humidity so thick and sticky you can cut it with a butter knife!  :D

LOL! :D I just did a quick search, and it seems that it comes from Old Norse mugen or mugga, via Middle English, and is first recorded as 'muggy' in 1746. Like many words with Old Norse roots, it is recorded here as a Yorkshire dialect word. I was fascinated to see it used here on The Porch, I wouldn't have used it myself for fear that barely anyone would have known what I was talking about! :D

I've used it all my life here in south Texas, where it's muggy all the time! Sitting in my car right now in bloody muggy heat while my daughter is getting a haircut. Then I gotta put on a bloody mask on this muggy day to go in and pay!;):p

Ya know it's muggy when you take a nice cool shower to cool off and then break a sweat when toweling off.:rolleyes:
