Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good Morning Guardians, thought I'd drop this one in my pocket today  Have a good day Guardians

I remember all the road maps that I had to carry.:) I had a collection in the glove box of my car. Here in the U.S. they were very different from the one you have pictured and were always though to fold back up. They were, at one time, handed out free at gas stations.:D Nice photo of your lamb foot knife too:thumbsup:

Nice one Jack! :)

Just re-filling my Zippo, and doing some routine Lambsfoot maintenance ;)

Nice bunch of lambs there Jack! The maintenance is a task that I really enjoy! I actually find it relaxing. It is something I can do while watching TV or even listening music. I like that needle oiler you have there. If you don’t mind PM me the info on where I might purchase one. :)

I have some going back to when I was at school, but that series is before my time :) I have mainly used Ordnance Survey maps, and they have been treasured companions throughout most of my life. When I was young, they were 1" to the mile, but now I mainly use the later 2 1/2" to the mile ones. They are not bad to fold, except when it's windy! :D Thank you my friend :)

Thank you very much mate, that means a lot to me coming from you. I have snagged a good one with this particular knife. If i was picky i am sure i could find fault with it, but i am really pleased with it.

Thanks pal, that's very kind :) I'm glad you managed to get a good one. We all know it can be a lottery with an unreliable firm and equally unreliable vendors, but I think some folks aren't happy unless they've got something to whine about

Must be the moon or something, i have some booked in for a service tomorrow.

LOL! :D I could do with checking over my entire collection really, but it's a big job

Hope everyone is having a good day :) These supermarket 'Steak Bakes' made my lunch into a tasty square meal ;)

Thank you Ron :) Someone here put me onto those Boker needle oilers a few years back, they use an extremely fine mineral oil, and if you just want a few drops for a pocket knife joint, they last a long time, and can be re-filled. Boker also do them in a more compact size, which I keep in my ditty-bag :) I believe they are very widely available, so hopefully you can source one in the US

I have a Nano-oil needle oiler too, but the oil isn't food-safe

Good morning Guardians! :) I really hope y’all are safe and well this morning. I’m especially thinking about Vince Prester John Prester John and Rachel r8shell r8shell and how the hurricane may affect them and their families! Like Jack, I’m carrying my Big Eb today! I hope everyone will stay safe out there! :)

I join you in your concerns about Vince and Rachel, Ron. We have had some wind damage and flooding caused by a storm here, but the weather here is never as brutal as it can be in parts of the USA  Great to see Big Eb again my friend :)

Extremely fine mineral oil, eh? I might have to try that. I've been using 3-in-One oil on my joints because I think the mineral oil gums up and I have to clear it out with machine oil anyway.

I forget who recommended it to me now, possibly @eisman ? I have been very impressed with it though, I use 3 in 1 too, and also Ballistol, which I have used as a re-fill for the Boker needle oilers, but the Lambsfoot knives only get the best! :D ;) Nice shot Jer :)

Thanks for thinking of us, and I hope Vince is doing alright.
Here in Austin, we're only expecting some rain (and evacuees from the Houston area)

Normal Central Texas weather: Drought, interrupted by occasional flash floods.

Glad to hear things aren't too bad in Austin Rachel, I guess it breaks up the heat a bit :) And waters the scary plants! ;) :D

Thanks for the compliment on Big Eb Jack! They are beautiful knives! :) I always use ultra fine mineral oil on my knives. I like it because it is food safe. I’ll definitely be checking out one of those Boker Oil Pens and thank you for the info my friend! :)

That’s good to hear Rachel! Maybe Vince will be okay too! :)

Thanks, guys. Living on the Texas coast, I have been through some hurricanes, and they're no fun! Fortunatley, Rachel is further inland, but Austin can still get some pretty severe weather. It looks like Laura will make landfall further north, near the Texas and Louisiana border. I am sure my wife is keeping a close eye on it.

Wishing all Guardians a good day!
