Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

This one reminds me a bit of Liv Ullman peeking around a door.

LOL! :D Cool pic Jer :)

Thanks a lot Bill, that's good news buddy, I hope everything goes smoothly today  It is just after 2pm here, and only just snowing, yet it has barely settled. A pal I just spoke to, who lives about 3 miles away, has a couple of inches, while another pal, across the city, has seen no snow at all :thumbsup:
Thanks Jack. I also saw your comment on another sub forum and wanted to thank you for your comment there too.

Much sadness here for you, Duncan, at the loss of Izzy. We have a little Maltese named Giada Girl, who is now 15 and going down hill I'm afraid. Soon we will be facing the same dilemma as you just have. She has been the best dog we have ever known, and it will be hard, but you just hate to see them suffer. Here is GG as we will always remember her.

For some knife content, RALF and I had some Formosa Jade Oolong this morning with a coconut pastry . . . so yummy!

Sad news Jeff :( Good to see RALF

Jeff my friend- isn't Giada Girl a wee Sweetheart!!! There must always be a price to pay for the most honest and the most rewarding love that we receive from these amazing companions!:)
Charlie my friend! thank you, you are SO right- most definitely part of the family and always will be!

Aargh - I touched up my Lambsfoot last night, I just cant quite get that real scary edge just yet on this girl- I'm so Close, I'm going to clean my Strop as it is a little bit "Cakey" and try again - still .... it's Beautifully Sharp!:)

Is the Famous Sheffield Shop still there
I'm not Jack but I just checked on-line and they are still there. I think (really hope) that most shops with a internet presence able to conduct business on-line will survive this rough patch. Lambfoot knives they have but with the exception of Michael May and those I refuse to name, all others have stainless steel blades.

That's always frustrating! o_O Have a great weekend pal :)

I used to recommend that place, known them a long time, through various incarnations, but I wouldn't give them another carrot I'm afraid :(

Michael May just buys his blades and springs from Wright's, and from what I've seen, his QC is no better o_O

I had an idea last night Guardians! :D

How about we complete a list of makers of the Lambsfoot pattern? :) It's unlikely to ever be exhaustive, but might be both interesting and helpful. Here's a few to start with. I'm looking for factory-made knives, since custom makers may only make one or two (I've included Trevor Ablett because he was a jobbing cutler who made a lot of Lambsfoot knives). If you can give me some more names, based on knives that you have (feel free to show them), I'll edit the names in

Trevor Ablett

Alfred Blackwell

Abram Brooksbank

George Butler

John Clarke & Sons (William Rodgers)

Thomas Ellin

Joseph Elliot & Sons

Harrison Brothers & Howson

William Hawcroft & Sons

James Howarth

W.R. Humphreys (Humphreys Radiant)

Christopher Johnson

Lockwood Brothers

Thomas Makin & Son

John McClory

John Milner

Needham Brothers

Albert Oates

Herbert Robinson

Joseph Rodgers & Sons

William Saynor

Sheffield Cutlery Co-operative Society (Unity)

Taylor's Eye Witness

Thomas Turner

Thomas Ward

E. Watts

Waynorth Cutlery

George Wostenholm & Sons

Arnold Wragg

Arthur Wright & Son

Jack, good start on a list of lamb foot models. I think I can add about a dozen or so. I'll get cracking on a list.

Some fun photos there Jack:D. HHB is looking good too:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:.

Good morning Guardians and all. North Carolina (at least the southern coastal region) is sunny but chilly:). Maybe some brief showers this evening:thumbsdown:. Going in for my final chemo today. All the MRIs have been clear and bloodwork looks good. I had a port put into the right bicep muscle to facilitate my infusions which will be removed next Friday:thumbsup:
The new year is looking up so far.:) Hopefully, my wife and I will get our vaccine shots sooner than later. Getting a bit antsy to resume "normal" activities again.

Decided to keep my HHB in the pocket for good luck today.
