Last coffee...

Nice composition :)

Not too far for you and Henry Beige, but a bit further for CelloDan and Jack I'm afraid. :)

Sadly so :( I just had my first Thai takeaway in a while though, and it was quite a treat :) That looks like a useful magnifying glass with your WCLF buddy :)

Hope everyone is having a great weekend :) Really treacherous underfoot on the streets where I live, so I haven't been too far, but had a nice enough day anyway, and after clearing snow and ice from a section of pavement, I'm feeling pretty beat. I can see an early night ahead ;)

Does anyone know who the actual manufacturers of Richard Rodgers, Taylor's Eye Witness (Chinese?), and Wostenholme?

Thanks,

Mel

Hello, here is a part of your answer
"Egginton offer high quality Sheffield made Knives and Sharpening Steels. The Egginton Group includes the world famous historic Sheffield brands - George Wostenholm, Joseph Rodgers and George Ibberson." from their website. I believe they own a couple more firms/brands, you could find lots more if you look at the indexed pages starting with post # 3425.

lol Neal, that's a good one :)
You guys gonna have to send us some through a rush Purolator delivery :D

yum :)

Nicely answered B brewbear  Eggington were a firm which originally made sharpening steels, then they bought up a bunch of old Sheffield names after those firms had ceased trading. They have mainly had knives made up by outworkers, and have even had some made by Wright's in recent years. TEW sold off their old cutlery works a few years ago, and it is currently being made into yuppie apartments. Most of their knives are made in China, but a few of their high-end pocket knives are still made in Sheffield, and they have recently had some mid-range knives made by Wright's.

Thanks Jack it was a blast. Made some goooood food! Were doing great as well!

Cheers!

Great to hear Taylor, enjoy your Sunday buddy :)

Good morning Guardians, hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I'm pleased to see that the snow here has begun to melt, as it had turned to ice on the roads and footpaths, and was making getting about difficult. I had my first takeaway delivery in more than a year yesterday, with a nice, if rather pricey, Thai meal :) Got a few leftovers in the fridge too! :D ;) I was exhausted last night, had an early night, and slept like a log! I'm hoping I can get out to stretch my legs later, but I've got a bunch of household chores to take care of first. I hope everyone is having a great weekend, and that you have a relaxing and restful Sunday :) I'm fancying up my pockets today - with The Yorkshire Rose ;) :)

Jack, very nice photo of the knife:thumbsup: - the back spring file work is very attractive:thumbsup:. Glad to hear that the ice and snow are melting:). Definitely makes hiking a bit dicey.

José, the grain in that ironwood is gorgeous.

Good morning Guardians and all. Since my infusions of immunotherapy have been completed I got to experience the joy of having the port (that was installed under the skin just below my right bicep) removed yesterdayo_O. All stitched up and sore as heck but what's worse...no golf for 3 to 6 weeks:mad:. The scalpel was almost as sharp as my HHB:D.
