Good question Rachel, but there are no British laws requiring the manufacturer to give the provenance of an article, so, in theory, Sheffield-made knives don't even need to be stamped, 'Sheffield'. Obviously, in terms of cutlery items, there is considerable cachet in having the Sheffield stamp, but I find many Sheffield knives without an England mark. In the 1960's and 70's, there was a myth circulating in Sheffield that wily Japanese, (Japan being the main source of cheap cutlery competition then), had gone to the trouble of building an entire new town named Sheffield, just so they could stamp 'Made in Sheffield' on the blades!
Great to see you here Mark, and it's good to see that you, and your Lambsfoot, have been keeping busy

That's a lot of snow my friend, we have some forecast here, but it will only be a fraction of that - it'll still bring the country to a standstill though!
Hope
@paulhilborn is doing alright, it's been a while since he dropped in here
Great photo of that rare and beautiful knife Taylor
Good morning Guardians, I hope that everyone is having a nice weekend

Really rotten weather here yesterday, but the rain has finally stopped. I did just see a flurry of snow, but it's holding off the moment. I don't think I'll be going anywhere today anywhere, just going to do some housework, and then put my feet up with my Charlie Lamb

Have a good day Guardians
