Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Yeah. And this is the weather for it.

Yeah, I noted your post in the EDC thread mate :) Still got the heating on here!

Working on fixing up/painting “Esperanza “ after the trials and tribulations we put her through last summer 😀

My old faithful Ebony Lamb us raring to go again this summer 👍😊

Nice to see Esperanza again Dan :) And your Ebony Lamb of course

I've been putting together this slingshot this afternoon...

By far the hardest part was forcing the rubber over the slingshot frame, as it was thick, and much smaller diameter. I'm definitely not doing one that way again!

A fun project otherwise, but the slingshot is actually a bit small for my large hands

Did we determine whether this is Walnut or Oak? :)

It’s supposed to be walnut, but who knows. I can say it does look like a walnut handled Buck my father has (but not as dark), and doesn’t strongly resemble any of my oak handles.

I’m no wood expert, so all I know for sure is it sure looks good to me after I put the tung oil/beeswax on it.

The knife has been getting some use and is starting to earn a patina. Love it so far. 👍

Yes, Sheffield cutlers (and UK dealers) don't always describe products accurately, but it looks good to me too :) I have only had one oak-hafted knife from that manufacturer, and I know oak can vary in colour a lot, but it looked quite different. Our fellow Guardian L lambertiana has a great knowledge of wood

Good morning Guardians, miserable weather here yet again, so my Saturday hike is cancelled :( Maybe I'll get a stroll round the neighbourhood later if it brightens up a bit  Have a great weekend Guardians, and I hope you get to feel the sun on your face

Thought I'd put some sunshine in my pocket ;)

Sorry to hear that your weather isn't cooperating Jack:(. The photo of your horn covered LF is really nice.👍

Saturday is starting off good for us here in southern coastal NC😀. We are headed for the mid 90's (deg F) 😅 today so I have the lawn irrigation going. Still getting stuff packed for the move to our new home next week. My HHB keeping me company all the way.

It's actually slightly sunny this evening Bill, but it's the only part of the day that has been! Thanks buddy, I'm glad to hear the weather is better for you :) Hope you're on schedule for the Big Move, and that it all goes to plan  Super sunny pic of your Hartshead Barlow :)
Happy Saturday, Guardians! Home haircut day here today ;)

Good stuff Mike :D Your 2019 is looking swell my friend :)

Question for the gaurdians... do you still do a yearly guardians lamb SFO? AND do I have to be a member to aquire one? Still need to get my first lamb as I feel left out of this fine group. Lovely knives all around. I have a feeling i would love this blade shape.

Sadly, no, but when we did have a yearly knife, it was not directly discussed here (see post #1). Hope you can find a Lambsfoot
That's a nice one Steve

I hope you're feeling OK today :) Impressive-looking cabin
Thanks, Jack! The camping was good for the soul, no pressure, no cellphone, just rest and beautiful creation! Felt better, and I'll take as many of the goods days as possible! 🙂👍
Have a good Friday Guardians

Now that's a clever idea for a figure 8! I think I still have one in storage, may have to make one! Haven't shot a slingshot in years!👍
