Yes, Sheffield cutlers (and UK dealers) don't always describe products accurately, but it looks good to me too I have only had one oak-hafted knife from that manufacturer, and I know oak can vary in colour a lot, but it looked quite different. Our fellow Guardian @lambertiana has a great knowledge of wood

Thanks buddy I got the idea from YouTube Dennis, quite a lot of videos on making them there, and it's a pretty straightforward project, even for a Yorkshire pudding like me!

I was a little worried that the compressor might walk when it runs but I can block the wheels and besides, it will be hard wired to the wall so it won't go too far. More little jobs around the house in preparation for the move so I'll be toting my HHB today.

Sometimes a second blade comes in handy - hence, this two blade Standard with Rosewood covers sitting on a wood fired cook stove. No, we don't cook on a wood fired cook stove. We've got an electric stove and we even wear socks with our shoes.

We had a great time down there, definitely different terrain than here, and just up the road from Fouke, Ar. (think of The Legend of Boggy Creek ).lol!

I would say that was a worthwhile endeavor! It's a good looker for sure!

No, we don't cook on a wood fired cook stove. We've got an electric stove and we even wear socks with our shoes.

Very nice photo of your HHB, Jack. Had a very nice weekend with lots of sunshine - actually too much sunshine because we are now in a drought situation. I often work in the yard with my wife and we love doing that but if we need to ration water we are going to witness a disaster in the garden. We will need to be more judicious with watering but the new home has a freshly sodded lawn and we can't afford to let it dry out too much. Since all my other LF knives are packed (except forms HHB) I'm sticking with my favorite EDC.
