Thanks mate, going well, a bit snowed under at work. Nice to see that Needham, and that you're enjoying some spring weather finally.
Weather's starting to turn a bit colder (relatively) here, so I spent the morning doing a little pruning, trying to coax a late harvest from the chilli plants.
Yes, the Reaper's certainly a chilli that needs to be built up to, before sampling it, LOL.

Yesterday, I headed over to the nearby town of Huddersfield, for a May Day meeting with @ADEE. I usually also meet up with @scruffuk, but he's currently holidaying in Derbyshire.
Our visit to the weekly second-hand market turned up absolutely nothing of interest, so after a cuppa, we headed out of town, and had a walk up the canal. We soon spotted a heron.

We were both carrying AW Lambsfoot knives with ebony covers, so they posed for picsThe mark side of ADEE's knife has an attractive black/brown mottled appearance. He likes to maintain a polished blade.

I had wanted to visit an antiques centre in the nearby town of Slaithwaite (pronounced 'Slowit'), where we also struck out, but the weather was good, and we had a great lunch at a co-operative bakery. ADEE had beans on toast, which looked incredible

I went for the chickpea stew, which came with a pile of toasted sourdough

We had coffee out by the canal, and shared a piece of fruit-cake.

We usually go for a pint or two, but I had to catch my train back to Leeds.

I did, however, meet up with some friends for a good few pints upon my return thoughHope everyone else had a good May Day

Dang, you must be old!"All Day And All Of The Night" by The Kinks. Man I haven't played that for a very very long time. Reminds me of the weekend dances at the lake.
I think, when us young bucks say 16 years old? went out to are first dance we stood there in amazement of the band members with shoulder length hair! I also remember when we walked into the hall, the song that was playing was House of the rising sun, then G L O R I A!
Ha ha, who knew,I'd make it this far! Spent a fair few years on chopped MC's and came through that, with only broken fingers and a nose. Fourty years or so swinging beef around in butcher shops and the like,Bus driving the last 12 or so years, and I'm still standing. Must be that clean living.Dang, you must be old!Glad it brought back some memories.
You sure look better too!...Any way I'm still younger than Kieth Richards!
ha ha ha for sure, I haven't developed that just came out of the laundry look yet.You sure look better too!![]()
I posted this in the edc thread but I like how it came out so I wanted to post it in here too.

Been great weather here today, had a good walk in the woods, and my Lambsfoot helped me fix dinner (I might have breathed in too much wood-smoke)Three quarters of the pics I took were out of focus for some reason
Heading out early again tomorrow, hope everyone has a lovely Sunday

You da Man!I too have a love for chopped Harleys and dirty Levi's.

Also, in my opinion, it is the clean living that will kill ya. haha
Thank you, Jack.
Looks like your woods walk was done in a lovely area, judging by the nice background behind your ebony Lambsfoot.
